2 WELCOME Welcome from the Chairman Welcome to the Aussie Muscle Car Run. You are about to embark on the ultimate road trip! It s a journey that will see you and your beloved beast enjoy spectacular days on iconic Australian roads across four states all while raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. I want to welcome you to this special group of car lovers as we prepare for an amazing run in I know you will love this unique motoring experience in what is now our sixth year, raising more than $2 million along the way. You can look forward to days of winding roads and racetracks and plenty of good, clean fun with a great group of like-minded people. I am looking forward to meeting you and your cars and want to welcome back all of those legends from previous years. We can t wait to hit the road in 2017 in what is going to be our best event so far! Kevin May Chairman Aussie Muscle Car Run THANK YOU When Sharon was diagnosed with leukaemia, she turned to the Leukaemia Foundation. Right now in Australia, 60,000 people are living with a blood cancer. People like Sharyn Polce, 46, from Western Australia. Sharon has been through six rounds of chemotherapy over six years the latest as part of a world first trial at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Throughout this time, the Leukaemia Foundation has been by her side helping with free emotional support, information and transport. Sharyn was also able to stay at the Bridgestone Australia Leukaemia Foundation Village in Adelaide while undergoing the latest treatment to save her life. It if wasn t for the Leukaemia Foundation, I would be in big trouble. We wouldn t be able to afford to be here for the treatment. Without this village, we would have nowhere to go and it s scary to think about that. By joining the Aussie Muscle Car Run and raising funds, you are making a difference. You give people like Sharon facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need, and fund vital research to help more people survive. So on behalf of people like Sharon, thank you.

3 IDEAS FOR RAISING MONEY Every car in the Aussie Muscle Car Run needs to raise a minimum of $4000 to help the Leukaemia Foundation s work to beat blood cancer. If you break up your fundraising into smaller amounts, it soon adds up. HOW TO RAISE $560 IN ONE WEEK $560 can give a regional family a free place to stay close to treatment in the city for one week. Ask yourself! Start by making your own donation for $50 Ask four family members to sponsor you for $25 each Ask two businesses you frequent to donate $50 each Ask 5 co-workers to sponsor you for $20 each Ask 5 people at school club or church to donate $10 each Ask your boss for a company contribution of $100 Ask 3 friends to donate $20 each Create a sponsorship deal for your car including: GET YOUR CAR SPONSORED Car sponsor stickers (still leave room for AMCR event sponsor stickers) Display your car at your sponsor s business premises Highlight your sponsor in club newsletters local papers or local radio Offer a cruise in your car for your sponsor, their staff and clients Offering to bring your sponsor on the Aussie Muscle Car Run TRIED & TESTED FUNDRAISING IDEAS Run raffles at your club(s) and among your friends and workmates Organise fundraising at BBQ s and other social events Have a show n shine or a garage sale Run a quiz night or talent show Sell lollies or chocolates Have a swear jar at your club Get sponsored to do something daring or unusual the more embarrassing it is the more money you ll raise

4 WHERE THE MONEY GOES Getting sponsored to drive in the Aussie Muscle Car Run has a huge impact on Aussie families facing the challenge of blood cancer. The more you raise the bigger the difference you can make. These special badges show what your fundraising achieves! They will appear on your AMCR fundraising page when you reach each fundraising milestone. There are eight to collect! I m In Badge You ve earned your first badge by signing up and joining the run thanks! Beep Beep Badge You ve raised $2500. That s enough to provide free transport for people who are too ill to drive after chemotherapy treatment, for a month. Cha-Ching Badge You re off and running by raising your first dollar! Breakthrough Badge You ve raised $4000. That s enough to aid future breakthroughs by funding a major blood cancer research project, for two weeks. Helping Hands Badge You ve raised $250. That s enough to enable a family to attend a support program specific to their blood cancer. Sleep Easy Badge You ve raised $7200. That s enough to give a regional family a free place to stay close to treatment in the city for three months. Discover Badge You ve raised $1600. That s enough to fund a month of laboratory costs for a research project to discover better treatments for blood cancer. Life Saver Badge You ve raised $10,000. That s enough to provide emotional support to help 300 families overcome the initial shock and stress of being diagnosed.

5 HOW TO PAY IN YOUR FUNDS Sponsors can donate on your page The easiest way to raise money is online. Ask people to sponsor your car by sharing a link to your online fundraising page link via or Facebook. Your sponsors can then complete their credit card donation on your car s page and get a receipt by . Easy-peasey! Pay in cash online Log in to your fundraising dashboard and use the Pay in Money feature. Enter each amount and any names you want to display on your page. Use your own credit or bank card to pay in the funds and then keep the cash. The funds will show once we ve charged your card.
