Thus, on operating table multiple dilators are to be kept. I have devised a single dilator which acts as a substitute for many dilators. This dilator has a diameter of 6 F close to its tip and gradually widen upto 16 F or 18 F. This dilator thus dilates the stricture is one go only. The availability of an additional separate channel allows injection of contrast to simultaneously visualize the stricture or false passages. 3 Radio-Opaque-Ringed (ROR) Sheath: A new cost effective sheath for PCNL * Currently, a radio opaque sheath is used to provide a passage from skin to kidney collecting system during percutaneous renal surgery. This sheath being totally opaque to x-rays, many times hides stone fragments behind it and therefore I innovated a special sheath which is predominantly radiolucent but has only a ring of radio opaque material. This small ring makes it visible during C-arm imaging and serves the purpose of operator without obscuring stone fragments. Since the radio opaque material required to manufacture this sheath is very little, the cost of product goes down drastically thus making it specially useful for us. 4 Dalela Female Urethral Dilator (DILACATH) In Clinical urological practice, a number of females are required to dilate their urethra or drain their bladder at regular/periodic intervals. Currently available devices are not user friendly. They are multiple in number and apart from being expensive, occupy more space on operation table and also prolong operation time.
