12 LOGICAL MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE AND LOGICAL MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE Effective Academic Writing This 1-day author academy on effective academic writing helps researchers from all fields improve the quality of their manuscripts. Strategies will be given on enhancing the clarity and conciseness of the English language such that it is adapted to the readership of international journals. We will focus on the micro-structure of the manuscript, giving tips on writing effectively, logically presenting ideas, improving the readability and using proper tenses. This workshop is meant to be highly interactive between the trainer and attendees and includes several activities. Logical Manuscript Structure This 1-day author academy focusing on manuscript structure helps researchers from all fields improve the quality of their manuscripts. Strategies will be given on how to efficiently draft a manuscript and collaborate with international coauthors. We will focus on the macro-structure of the manuscript, analyzing the content of each section, creating attractive figures with data, writing impactful titles and abstracts and understand the requirements for authorship. This workshop is meant to be highly interactive between the trainer and attendees and includes several activities. Length: 1 day of 5h (including 30 min break).

14 CLINICAL RESEARCH ADVANCED Advance Level This new 1-day advanced author academy on clinical research methodology helps researchers build robust protocols in order to increase their publication success. For this advance level, we will give strategies to avoid common types of biases in clinical study designs. We will also focus on designing randomized control trials and to avoid common errors in data acquisition and analysis. This workshop is meant to be highly interactive between the trainer and attendees and includes several activities. Length: A condensed 5h version (with 30 min break)
