Shetty has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the recently concluded 6th International Achievers Summit organized in Dubai held on March 16, 2013, by the Indian Achievers Forum. The award came as recognition of Dr. Shetty s outstanding achievements in the field of healthcare. Dr. B.R. Shetty started his journey as a pharmacist with New Medical Centre in In the 38 years that passed, Dr. Shetty made NMC synonymous with healthcare in the UAE. With his futuristic vision and undying spirit, Dr. Shetty transformed NMC Healthcare from a single story clinic to specialty hospitals in UAE and across the globe. Everyone in the UAE is aware of NMC Healthcare and how it has the touched lives of the people of UAE. Dr. Shetty s meteoric rise is testimony of an enterprising mindset coupled with diligent efforts and determination. This Lifetime Achievement Award serves as a badge of honor for a man who foresaw the future and success followed.

NMC Healthcare comprising of NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, BiteRite, NMC Trading (Himalaya & Humana) and Zari Spa offered a wide array of free medical tests and health screening programs including Cholesterol, Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Sampling of Himalaya & Humana product, Henna & Nail painting for women, sampling of healthy and tasty food, interactive sessions and much more. NMC Healthcare s participation in Health & Fitness Fun Day 2013 NMC Healthcare participated in the Health & Fitness Fun Day, a two-day event designed to celebrate, educate and inspire participation in health and well-being. NMC Healthcare offered a wide array of free medical tests and health screening programs including glucose, blood pressure and body mass index, exercise demonstrations, funactivities for kids, henna and nail painting for women, sampling of healthy and tasty food, interactive sessions and much more. Over 350 adults were screened for diabetes and obesity and Zari Spa s nail paint and henna art was particularly appreciated by the women. Over 3000 students from various schools visited the NMC Healthcare stall and collected complementary gifts. Healthy food outlet Bite Rite offered free scrumptious samples to over 80 visitors. Al Jazira Club also partnered with NMC and was a major attraction among children. Mr. Sultan, a prominent Emirati player also visited the stall as part of the promotion.
