ABSTRACT Fiber-gla reinforced platic are the polymer compoite material which have a widepread uing field today. Baically, they are obtained from continuou or tranient fiber-gla dipered in the rein that work a a matrix. The fiber-gla which i the reinforcement material determine the mechanical propertie of the compoite material. The rein preerve the reinforcement component and keep them together. In thi work, the compoite material are produced by combining the heared fiber-gla in the form of woven and felt with thermoet platic matrix, and then the effect of the reinforcement kind on the tenile of the compoite material i invetigated. Key Word: Fiber reinforced compoite, tenile of compoite material. INTRODUCTION Today the techlogy of the compoite material make progre rapidly and the new product are erved to the market. The compoite which their cot decreae with the increaing demand and production are the candidate for being the material of the future in many field ince they have phyical and chemical advantage according to claical indutrial material [1] 1. The material that i obtained by bringing two or more material -which are t appropriate alone for the aked aim- together phyically in a macro tructure in pecific condition and rate enuring the aked propertie i called a compoite material [2]. The fiber in the matrix material are the baic reitance element of the compoite tructure. The mot important reinforcement material ued in the compoite tructure today are the continuou fiber. Turhan [4] explain in hi work that the mechanical propertie of fiber-gla and it rate in matrix in gla reinforced platic material determine the mechanical propertie of compoite material. Demircioğlu [5] emphaize that tenile and bending of compoite material increae with increaing fiber height. In thi paper, the effect of reinforcement kind on the tenile of mechanical propertie in compoite material with platic matrix i conidered. For thi aim, the tenile of the compoite material obtained by combining heared, woven and felt formed fiber-gla with thermoet platic matrix are teted. MATERIAL AND METHOD In thi work, ortoftalic polyeter rein of common uing aim a matrix and alo heared, woven and felt formed fiber-gla i ued a reinforcement in production of the compoite material. Alo, chemical for olidification and accelerating, rmal drying oven, electronic cale device and tenile tet device are ued.

2 Material Matrix material Ortoftalic polyeter rein of common uing aim i ued in the work. It i liquid. Reinforcement material Three type of fiber-gla are ued. Fiber/rein ratio i taken contant a 1/2 for every ample. Thee reinforcement material: a) Sheared bunche: It i produced by cutting E-type fiber-gla bunche whoe TEKS number i 2400g/1000m. It i a product of fiber-gla indutry. b) Gla woven: Woven type which i produced in a form of traight ruh mat by gla wick i ued. It i a biaxial woven. It i a product of gla indutry. c) Gla felt: It i product of gla indutry that ha a wide uing field. Gla felt ha propertie like well weight ditribution, getting wet quickly and eaily, proceing eaily. It unit field weight i 300 (±%5) g/m 2. The compoite material are produced on the gla mold by hand lay-up method. The amount which will be proceed i mixed by adding cobalt naftalat and metil etil keton peroxit olution in pecific rate into the rein. Some of thi prepared rein i put on the gla mold. Weighed fiber-gla clipping and any part of woven which i weighed and cut according to the mold are placed on the rein a reinforcement. After the rein below i aborbed into the fiber-gla with a roll, the ret of the rein i aborbed into the reinforcement with bruh blow and a roll. It i taken pain to make rein-fiber diperion homogeneou in thee procee. While preparing the compoite material with two and four layer, it i waited for the rein to reach pre-hardne for almot half an hour in order to eliminate the probability of air preence after carrying out the firt layer. The econd layer i laid by uing the ame method. For the compoite with four layer, after carrying out three layer continually, the compoite i waited for an hour. Becaue the polymerization reaction i an ecotermic reaction and alo the plit and fire can occur in the product owing to the exit of heat in many layer. After waiting, the fourth layer i laid by the ame method, two BECENEN N. et al. unit of every kind of ample are prepared and it i waited for the polymerization to be completed in the room temperature. After a day, pot cure proce i applied to one unit of ample at the ame time at 50, 80 ve C for an hour. The tenile tet are carried out after fifteen day ince preparing the ample. Method tet: the tenile of the prepared compoite material are determined by the tenile tet. The prepared ample are teted with the univeral device of Shimadzu AGS10KNG with a tenile velocity of 1mm/min. The calculation are performed by the oftware in a computer that control the tenile device. The elatic,, tenile, tretch in,, tretch in off are given by the ame oftware. By taking the average of reult of experiment for every compoite material group, the tenile are determined. RESULTS tet are applied to the compoite material which are made from ortoftalic matrix prepared in laboratory condition and heared fiber, felt and 90 0 woven reinforcement material in four recurrence in all. The value of elatic,, tenile, maxtretch,, and tretch in off which are obtained by the tenile tet are hown in table and in figure The tenile tet value of the compoite material without cure and conit of ortoftalic rein and heared fiber reinforcement are given in table 3.1. The average tenile i found a MPa. The tenile tet graph of the ame ample i hown in figure 3.1. Two flow point are een in the graph. Thi ituation occur ince the mall atom or heared fiber obtruct the lipping by forming group and increae the flowing point while the material change it hape. Although it ha four layer, it tenile i lower than 90 0 woven fiber-gla reinforcement. The average tenile i found a MPa. The tenile graph for the ame ample i hown in figure 3.3. Table 3.3. CONCLUSION The tenile, elatic and the % tretch value in off for the compoite material which are reinforced with heared fiber-gla are mallet in comparion with woven, felt reinforcement. The tenile i MPa for the ortoftalic matrix and heared fiber reinforced compoite material. The highet tenile i found in four layer 90 o gla woven reinforced compoite ample.
