2 INVITATION On behalf of the Scientific Committee and organizer of International Multidisciplinary Conference, titled Rehabilitation Yesterday Today Tomorrow, October 2018, we have the pleasure of inviting you to participate and present a lecture at the conference. This momentous scientific event is organized in time to celebrate the 10 th anniversary of the establishment of both the Department and the Clinic of Rehabilitation at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. It will be held in historical venue Hotel Krasicki in Lidzbark Warmiński, Poland. Rehabilitation is an interdisciplinary field and develops very dynamic in the last decades. Taking on the challenge of organizing an international scientific event, we aim to integrate specialists in various fields of medicine, whose work contributes to raising the rehabilitation. Invited lecturers from Poland, Europe, Israel and the United States of America will present current knowledge, their own experience and directions in the development of neurosurgery, neurorehabilitation and physiotherapy. We expect about 200 participants - specialists in various fields of medicine and physiotherapy. The event will be held under the auspices of the Marshal of Warmia and Mazury. Kowalski MD, PhD Head of Department The Department of Rehabilitation was established by the decision of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Senate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn - Resolution No. 17 of 16 June Within its organizational structure a Rehabilitation Clinic has been established with a Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic. The Department deals with the education of students in the field of medical rehabilitation and the implementation of other medical subjects in the fields of medicine, nursing, medical rescue and nutrition. The Rehabilitation Clinic provides services in the field of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation in the stationary (25 beds), day-stay and outpatient clinics. Former and finished grants Currently, as part of the statutory research of WNM UWM in Olsztyn, a project is underway: Research on autonomous collection system and analysis of pressure data exerted by Cheneau orthopedic brace grant founded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education No. N N Comparison of the aplication of advanced and traditional methods of posture assessment and motion system function in the diagnosis, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of kyphotic spine deformation therapy grant founded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education No. N N The use of modern measuring and therapeutic devices for the clinical and anthropometric evaluation of postural disorders of children and adolescents with particular regard to idiopathic scoliosis and the analysis of the effectiveness of its treatment methods grant founded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education N /2715 Analysis of the effect of muscle electrostimulation on spinal curvature correction in experimental study grant founded by KBN No. 4T11E Experimental and clinical evaluation of electrostimulation of the muscles as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of low-grade idiopathic scoliosis.
