4 2018 Caadia Respiratory Coferece Who we are Parters of the Caadia Respiratory Coferece Caadia Thoracic Society The Caadia Thoracic Society (CTS) is Caada s atioal iter-professioal specialty society for respirology brigig together over 1,000 members represetig adult ad pediatric specialists, physicias, scietists ad healthcare professioals from a variety of disciplies workig i respiratory health ad research. The CTS promotes lug health by ehacig the ability of lug health professioals through leadership, collaboratio, research, educatio ad advocacy, ad promotig the best respiratory practices i Caada. Caadia Respiratory Health Professioals The Caadia Respiratory Health Professioals (CRHP) is the iterdiscipliary health professioal assembly of the CTS which icludes urses, respiratory therapists, cardio-pulmoary physiotherapists, pharmacists, pulmoary fuctio techologists ad other licesed health professioals ad researchers workig i the respiratory field. The Lug Associatio The Lug Associatio is the leadig charitable orgaizatio i Caada workig to promote lug health ad prevet ad maage lug disease. We do this by fudig vital research, pushig for improved treatmets, smarter policies, or supportig patiets i maagig their health. Our reaso for beig ca really be summed up i oe word: Breathe. It s what uites us. It s what ispires us. It s what keeps our commuity of physicias, scietists, cliicias, educators, admiistrators, voluteers ad doors so committed - whether it s searchig for cures to lug diseases, teachig kids about the dagers of tobacco or fightig for clea air. Coferece Objectives The Caadia Respiratory Coferece is the premier atioal educatioal ad scietific meetig for the respiratory commuity i Caada. The coferece will offer a broad scietific program developed by ad for cliicias, scietists, multidiscipliary healthcare professioals ad educators i our commuity who have developed excellet atioal ad iteratioal reputatios i respiratory medicie. The program will promote discussio of the most sigificat developmets i cliical practice, research ad educatio. The Caadia Thoracic Society (CTS) is a accreditig body of the Royal College. Withi the coferece program there are also Accredited Simulatio Activities (Sectio 3) as defied by the Maiteace of Certificatio Program of the Royal College of Caada, ad approved by the CTS. Delegates may claim a maximum of 1.5 hours for each sessio (credits are automatically calculated). Through a agreemet betwee the America Medical Associatio ad the Royal College, the CTS will also desigate this live educatioal activity, the Caadia Respiratory Coferece 2018, for AMA PRA category 1 credits. Physicias should oly claim credit commesurate with the extet of their participatio i the activity. The fial program will provide iformatio o the maximum umber of hours that ca be claimed uder this program. Live educatioal activities occurrig i Caada, ad recogized by the Royal College as Accredited Group Learig Activities (Sectio 1), are deemed by the Europea Uio of Medical Specialists (EUMS) to be eligible for ECMEC credits. Registratio Cacellatio ad Refud Policy Registratio forms will be processed oly if accompaied by full paymet of registratio fees. Oly registered delegates may claim registratio materials at the coferece registratio desk. Delegates will ot be permitted to collect materials for others. Cacellatios received i writig postmarked by March 9, 2018 will be refuded i full less a $ admiistratio fee. No refuds will be issued for cacellatios received after this date.
