12 Target groups for education 11 Need to differentiate between mediated information, rumours and reality - Health professionals: to update their knowledge, to learn how to dialogue with parents and adolescents on sexual life and prevention - Parents: to understand the sexual nature of the disease and the benefit from the prevention - Adolescents: to understand and accept preventive methods

13 Communication with parents 12 Unfounded negative perception of vaccination programmes may: - affect parents decision - interfere with the sexual life of young girls Adherence to vaccination programme can be achieved and maximised through a multi-pronged strategy accepted by health professionals, political and religious leaders

14 Communication with adolescents 13 Communication must be based on active participation anchored in individual involvement and values This will help adolescents to: - Balance behaviours between risks and pleasure - Say no without fear of losing face - Refrain from adopting a group attitude regarding sexual behaviour - Recognise manipulation - Discuss openly
