2 o Students across the four-year degree program were required to run research projects. During the 4 th year of their degree, it was our aim that the students would run a project worthy of publication in an international peer reviewed journal. Research o During my time at METU I have conducted both funded and non-funded research projects. Various Admin responsibilities o At METU NCC there are no Masters or PhD programs within the Psychology Department. For this reason I ve had to mark every essay, report and exam written by each of my 70 students every semester. I additionally have had to liaise with other members of the department, the secretarial staff and the Dean of Social Sciences on numerous occasions to ensure productivity. Creation of Clinical Psychology course. o Clinical Psychology, Topics in Clinical Psychology and Theories of Psychotherapy were only offered to students at the main campus in Ankara before the academic year. Upon arrival I was given the opportunity to design and teach these courses for the North Cyprus Campus. Title: Post-Doctoral Research Associate Dates: August 2010 August Institution: University of Kent, United Kingdom (UoK was ranked at in the world by Times Higher Education World Rankings, 2012) Responsibilities: I was employed to work on a Leverhulme Trust funded project entitled practising mindfulness to avoid premature judgements. Additional duties included o Supervision of third year and Masters Project students o Mentoring of fellow research associates.

Research Assistant on a temporal discounting project Academic Tutor, modules included: o Behavioural psychology o Research methods o Essay writing skills o Presentation skills o Social psychology o Statistics Applied Employment History (in reverse order) Clinical Counsellor: o I volunteer at METU NCC to provide brief individual and group therapy to students. Psychotherapist: o I currently provide psychotherapy to clients in the local community. Teaching Assistant: o I was employed by a Primary School for one year with a girl with learning difficulties. Subsequently I worked an added 6 months with an autistic boy where I was required to conduct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions. Student Counsellor: o For 6 months I lived on campus at Swansea University. In return for free accommodation I worked as a student counsellor and advisor).
