2 Introduction The Practitioner Diploma Course is of approximately 150 hours duration of classroom study, plus required reading, and leads to a full Diploma qualification (DHP). On this course, you will learn not just hypnotherapy, but how to be thoroughly effective as a psychotherapist, too. The course is aimed at people who have no previous experience of hypnotherapy or psychotherapy. You don t need to have a special gift to be able to hypnotise people, it s a skill that can be learned by anyone. We believe that if you have reasonable intelligence, a degree of self-awareness and good intentions then by using hypnosis you can help people to make positive changes in their lives. Our classes are held in London, Bristol, or Cardiff and are kept small (our maximum class size is just 20 individuals), enabling a friendly, relaxed and more personal approach to your training. Helping you to become competent and confident quickly. We care deeply about our students and want them to be successful, not only so they can help their clients in the future but also by spreading the word and encouraging others to train. We will do everything we can to make sure of their success, because as therapists ourselves we love to see people achieve their dreams.

3 The Trainers Nicky McCallum Nicky initially trained with the National College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy where she gained a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. She then went on to train with the Quest Institute where she obtained a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy along with an NLP Practitioners Diploma. Following the Diploma course Nicky trained in both Forensic Hypnosis and Hypnosis for Childbirth. She specialised in areas covering work with OCD to which she received an award in 2006 for the extensive work and research she had done within this field. She also specialised in Anxiety Related Disorders, Additions, Phobias and working with children. Nicky is a member of the NRHP MNCH (acc) APHP (acc) GHR SQHP, EIFH. She supervises for the APHP and GHR and has continued her personal development by attending workshops, seminars and conferences over the years, as she is a great believer in the fact that you can never have enough knowledge and learning is a lifelong experience. Nicky has a lot of clinical experience and over the course of years has probably seen over 500 clients, all of whom have had tailored individual therapy. She uses a variety of techniques and skills in order for the client to get the maximum out of therapy for an effective outcome. Prior to training in hypnotherapy she worked with homeless people, working in hostels as well as on the streets, and it was working with this group of people that deepened her curiosity in the mind and people, accelerating her interest in hypnotherapy, together with an A Level in Psychology and Sociology achieved at school.

4 Celia Arthur Celia trained in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP and Life Coaching with Trevor Sylvester at the Quest Institute where she met Nicky McCallam and holds a PNLP and a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy. She is also a certified HypnoBirthing Therapist. Celia has been working in the caring profession for over 20 years and is an experienced Healer who has extensively studied Spirituality, Numerology, Astrology and Tarot and runs a private practice in Bristol, working holistically with clients to promote healing of the mind, body and spirit. She also holds a BSc(Hons)Psych., R.N (LD) and is a member of the NCH and holds a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Celia is CNHC registered which means she meets the national standards and holds the CNHC quality mark. CNHC is voluntary regulator set up with government funding and support which is a regulatory body that acts in the public interest. She regularly runs workshops and courses on stress management and psychic development and Healing. Celia has run a number of tailored corporate courses in key areas such as coaching and stress management. Celia is a fun down to earth person who enjoys meeting people and encouraging them to meet their full potential. She has also mentored children and young adults with great effect and also helped adults who have been the victim of crimes or victimised in various other areas of their lives.

Hypnotherapist can charge between 50 and 200, which means that you can easily cover the cost of training. Duration of course allows new knowledge and skills time to bed in. 10 Professional Bodies, Accreditation and Insurance The Southern Academy of Holistic Therapies hypnotherapy training course is accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the National Council of Psychotherapy, the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. After successfully graduating the Practitioners course you will be awarded a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) accredited by The Southern Academy of Holistic Therapies for the main professional organisations and the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) Our success rate is high and a reflection of the school endeavouring to be at the cutting edge of the latest techniques and methods in Hypnotherapy and our awareness of the latest research findings. You also become eligible for membership of these accrediting organisations, as Licentiate of the Hypnotherapy Society, the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the National Council of Psychotherapists and the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. The professional letters, that you will be entitled to use after your name, are: DHP. HPD. LHS. LNCP. MNCH (Lic.) LAPHP. GQHP Membership of these organisations will provide you with many benefits, including professional liability insurance.

11 Fees Unlike other training colleges, all course fees are payable to the SAHT on a 'pay-as-you-learn' basis. The usual method of payment comprises of a modest initial deposit of 500 at the time of booking, followed either by the balance of the fee during the first weekend of the Diploma Course, or equal proportions of the balance paid on a monthly basis by direct debit. Every effort will be made, however, to meet the needs of students who wish to pay their fees otherwise. The total cost of training is Stirling. Normally payment is via ten monthly instalments of Stirling. Please carefully read the small print below and our Terms and Conditions: SAHT reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course if there are circumstances beyond our control. Any fees paid will be repaid in full or can be used for another course. SAHT reserves the right to remove a student from the course because of incompatibility. The initial deposit will be refunded should an applicant decide not to start the course after the interview, provided SAHT are given 7 days notice. Students may pay for tuition over the period of the course. The course fees for the HPD accreditation must be paid for in full before the exam.

Please note: You will be asked for CRB clearance at your own cost. If you have a history of substance misuse or addiction, or any criminal history please discuss this with us and write a statement fully disclosing the circumstances with your application. SAHT s hypnotherapy course provides a high standard of training. Successful students can then start a hypnotherapy career and become a hypnotherapy practitioner. The cost of the course is clearly displayed and contains no hidden extras. You have the right to cancel the course without reason and receive a full refund, providing you give twenty-eight days notice of your intention to do so prior to starting the course. Failure to pay fees at the right time may result in the student losing their place on a course with no refunds. If there are any difficulties in paying fees on time, these should be discussed with the course trainers in good time. Students are expected to attend all course dates and no refunds will be given for non attendance. Please note that if any course dates are missed the result is automatic qualification failure. Once your place has been confirmed on the course, unless a written letter of cancellation is received, you will be liable to the full fees. SAHT reserves the right to refuse applicants which they consider to be unsuitable without explanation or appeal.
