Turnitin is an online text-matching software Turnitin identifies material in a your assignments which is similar to other known sources Non-original material identified by Turnitin can be checked and corrected, and once satisfied, you can submit your assignment for final marking Assignments can be submitted to Turnitin multiple times Your teacher will see the same Similarity Score that you can see and can a ess Tur iti s i ilarit eport for our assig e t

16 Using the Similarity Report to review your paper 4 Steps to a better assignment 1. e ie Tur iti s i ilarit Report, and the identified matches 2. Decide whether to submit your paper for final marking* or to rework the identified matches (as needed) to reduce the overall Similarity Score 3. Rework your draft paper by ensuring that the identified matches are referenced correctly 4. Appl all the APA th editio rules orre tl to eli i ate a possible chance of plagiarism, then submit to Turnitin again * Submitting your paper for final marking means that no further changes can be made to the paper
