2 Goal for Behavioral Health To increase the annual screening rate in primary care practices for the identification of Depression and Alcohol Misuse in Medicare Beneficiaries

3 Interventions Implemented in 2017 Initial approach (webinars / outreach with loss revenue) 30 minute webinars (day / evening / messages) Twice monthly E-newsletter covering multiple primary care topics Added staff Behavioral Health Technical Advisors Began onsite and telephonic Practice Assessments Evaluated high practices with high screening rates: 10 Best Practices Launched in-office technical assistance Began Drop by unscheduled visits Developed Behavioral Health Trainings Collaborations: American Psychiatric Association and Georgia Academy of Family Physicians

5 Outcomes Update Statistics for North Carolina Technical Assistance: Visits conducted since September 2017: 62 TA Practices identified as screening for depression: 51/140 TA Practices identified as screening for alcohol: 31/140 Trainings completed / scheduled: 4/8
