Chahal Dear Colleagues, Warm Greetings, I welcome you all to the City beautiful, City of roses and the Capital of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh. North Zone Ophthalmological Society is organizing its nd Annual conference in collaboration with Chandigarh Ophthalmological Society. Ophthalmology has grown tremendously over the years and it is important to keep pace with the newer developments in the field of ophthalmology. Here is a chance for you to keep updated with the latest in ophthalmology. This year the submissions were open to faculty, residents and practicing ophthalmologist. Invitations were sent to all members, heads of departments of various medical colleges in all the states to participate in the conference. Submissions in various areas were received not only online, but by also as suggested by management committee members during the last conference. A large number of renowned faculty from all over India are participating in the scientific deliberations of this conference to share their experiences. Dr. S.S. Grewal oration was introduced years back. This year, Dr. D Ramamurthy from Eye Foundation, Coimbatore will be delivering this prestigious oration. Dr AD Grover memorial oration, which is an integral part of scientific program of Chandigarh Ophthalmological Society will be delivered by Prof. Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER Chandigarh. Live surgery on various types of cataracts with implantation of various types of intraocular lenses will be shown to the delegates. A wet lab will be organised in the morning of th September to educate residents from various medical colleges about various procedures on retina, cornea and oculoplasty. More than 0 free papers were received this year and of these have been selected for presentation. Besides this there will be a pot pourri of presentations for challenging cases, videos and E posters from participants. Residents who had publications in esteemed journals will also present their work in the Young achiever's session. The organizing team, consisting of Dr. Sudesh Arya,, and have done their best to make this conference a success.
