1 Uvalde HSDA Draft Uvalde HSDA Counties: Dimmitt, Edwards, Kinney, LeSalle, Maverick, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, Zavala Epi Profile In the Uvalde HSDA, the number of new diagnoses has remained flat and stable for the past several years. There were 5 people living with HIV (PLWH) in this area as of the end of 26. This includes only people with diagnosed infections with a current address in this area. People with undiagnosed HIV are not included. In 26, people were newly diagnosed with HIV. Gender Men make up the majority of PLWH and the majority of new diagnoses Females 7 Females Males 34 Males 9 PLWH 26 New Diagnoses 26 Males Females Priority Populations (6 of total PLWH, 9 of new diagnoses) Priority populations make up the majority of PLWH and the majority of new diagnoses. 3 26 Continuum When people are able to achieve retention in care, they are able to achieve viral suppression. In the Uvalde HSDA, 54% of total PLWH have achieved viral suppression, and 86% of PLWH who are retained in care achieved viral suppression. Retention in care is a priority area. 68% of PLWH had at least one episode of HIV care & treatment. This means roughly 7 PLWH were in care. 54% of PLWH were virally. This means that roughly 5 PLWH were virally 63% of PLWH were retained in care (2 episodes of HIV care & treatment across the year). This means that roughly 6 PLWH were retained in care Of those 6 PLWH who were retained in care, 86%, or roughly 5 of those 6 PLWH, were virally.
