Remove all NuCalm components from the travel bag. 2. Charge the NuCalm smart device, headphones, and 9v rechargeable batteries. 3. Insert a 9v battery into the NuCalm CES device and check the operation (on/off). 2

3 FOR THE OPTIMAL NUCALM EXPERIENCE Find a comfortable, quiet place to lie down, preferably with a blanket Make sure you are well-hydrated and nourished and do not need to use the bathroom Turn off your mobile devices completely to avoid interruption Remove earrings and eye glasses Plan on relaxing for at least 20 minutes, depending on your current stress level and sleep quality

4 NUCALM EXPERIENCE NuCalm is the world s first and only patented neuroscience technology clinically proven to lower stress and improve sleep quality without drugs. NuCalm gives you the power and control to slow down and recharge when you need it. Typical NuCalm treatments last minutes based upon your current level of stress and sleep quality the higher the stress, the longer the NuCalm. You will experience shorter treatments with continual use. You can use NuCalm multiple times a day to manage stressful experiences. When NuCalming you will simply wake up, the the way you do after taking a nap. The physiological experience of NuCalm includes feeling your heart rate and breathing slow down and feeling your arms and legs get heavy. Your mind will not shut off during NuCalm. In fact, you will have many thoughts and your mind will wander. You should simply relax during your NuCalm treatment. If you are experiencing a high level of stress or poor sleep, you may fall asleep for brief periods during NuCalm. 4

5 1 STEP ONE: Use NuCalm Supplements Choose the topical cream OR chewable supplements There are two options for delivering the all-natural NuCalm proprietary supplements. Choose one method per treatment. Topical Cream: Apply one full pump of the cream to the right carotid - rubbing in completely up and down the artery. Repeat for the left carotid artery. OR CHOOSE: Chewable Supplements: Chew three (3) NuCalm dietary supplements completely, keep in mouth (swishing like using mouthwash) for at least 90 seconds, then swallow. You can chew one at a time and take water before and after. 5

6 2 STEP TWO: Apply the NuCalm CES Device 1. Plug the lead wire into the top of the CES device and insert the lead pins into the NuCalm patches. Red or black lead wires can be applied to either side. 2. Stick the patches together, faceto-face, press firmly to activate adhesive, then pull apart. Apply a NuCalm patch to the soft spot directly behind each earlobe. 3. Turn on the CES device, and you are ready to begin your treatment. The microcurrent level is preset to 0.1 ma and programmed to run for 120 minutes. The CES achieves the intended results at 0.1 ma. Sensitivity to the microcurrent stimulation varies from person to person. Most people feel nothing. 6

7 3 STEP THREE: Fit the NuCalm Eye Mask Place the eye mask on your forehead until the headset is fitted and then slide over your eyes. Once in place, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Before using the eye mask, ensure you are comfortable with total darkness. If you try on the eye mask, and it makes you feel uncomfortable or claustrophobic, do not use during your NuCalm treatment. Simply close your eyes or use a pair of sunglasses you are comfortable with. 7

8 4 STEP FOUR: Use the NuCalm Neuroacoustic Software 1. Turn on smart device and connect to WiFi. NOTE: you cannot log into the NuCalm app without Internet access. 2. Open the NuCalm app - select the NuCalm app icon on the Apps page. 3. Login using your address and password. 4. Select Start a New Session, rate your level of relaxation (1 - not at all to 10 - very relaxed ), and choose your environment. 5. Select the software tracks you want to use, select looping or consecutive play, and select the play button. You can use any headphones or earbuds you like. Please consult the JBL instructions if you use the noise-cancelling, Bluetooth headphones included in the NuCalm system. 8

9 NuCalm Effect A NuCalm treatment is synonymous with deep relaxation. The effect can be profound if you are experiencing a high level of stress or subtle if you are balanced and rested. After NuCalm you may feel: More relaxed mentally and physically Less muscle tension Improved mental focus and clarity Deeper, more restful sleep NuCalm Exceptions for Use Pregnant/nursing women do not use the topical cream or chewable supplements People with pacemakers, ventricular assist devices, or brain implants do not use the CES device People with claustrophobia do not use the NuCalm eye mask For each of these profiles, you CAN use all other NuCalm components. 9

10 NuCalm Equipment Maintenance Wipe equipment with disinfectant when necessary. Never spray solutions directly on the equipment. CES Device Battery Replacement The CES device is powered by a 9v battery housed in the back of the unit. When battery output is low, an indicator will show on the screen, and the unit will beep 3 times. To replace the battery remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit. Be sure to align +/- contacts correctly when inserting a new battery or recharged battery. 10

11 Charging the Headset Battery Insert the charging cable into the headset s micro USB socket and plug the other end into a USB wall charger or USB 2.0 port. The charging light will be RED until fully charged. 11

12 Warranty The limited 1-year warranty covers the NuCalm CES device and is extended only to the original purchaser. Solace Lifesciences, Inc. warrants that this product, when delivered to you in new condition, in original packaging, and used in normal conditions, is free from any defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship.
