8 Easy to clean Clean the lenses and sensor before and after each patient using 60% isopropyl or 90% ethyl alcohol For reusable cable and connector, when needed, spray or wipe with pad moisturized with 60% isopropyl or 90% ethyl alcohol or 2% glutaraldehyde. 12 Better insight into adult anesthetized patients Enables the Surgical Pleth Index (SPI) measurement Two measurements with one sensor: SPI and SpO2 Works only with proprietary GE SpO2 technology SPI reflects the patient s hemodynamic responses to surgical stimuli and analgesic medications during general anesthesia Finger sensor only SPI not approved in the US. 13 Why use GE sensors rather than generic ones Safety confirmed with GE sensors Tested to ensure compatibility with all GE monitors and different software versions. SpO 2 accuracy is linked to the quality of LEDs used in the sensor GE employs stringent LED testing in its manufacturing process. Probe off detection works with all GE SpO 2 devices. Regulatory approvals valid for the whole SpO 2 measurement system. Using generic sensors conflicting with GE oximetry User Manual compatibility specification should be considered as off-label use. GE provides warranty for oximetry products only if specified original accessories are used. Use of non-specified accessories may limit the warranty of the oximetry device. Ref.
