For customers around the world, ADM draws on its resources its people, products and market perspective to help them meet today s consumer demands and envision tomorrow s needs. Info: ani.specialtyingredients@adm.com CitriStim may help the animal fortify its defense against health challenges. The yeast component of CitriStim may manipulate pathogens and mediate gut immune activity. The overall result is enhanced performance and an animal that does not easily succumb to daily health challenges. It s an easy addition to diets for all life stages and classes of animals. CitriStim (a source of yeast mannans) is a proprietary yeast (Pichia guilliermondii) supplement for all life stages and classes of livestock, equine, poultry, aquaculture, and companion animals. CitriStim has unique features and is a beneficial feed ingredient with a proven track record. Many animal producers are using a yeast mannan product. Research documents CitriStim's deleterious effect on E. coli populations. Yeast mannans have been shown to influence the population of pathogenic bacteria (including E. coli, Salmonella, Proteus, Klebsiella, and Clostridium) by lowering their numbers. CitriStim has unique features and is a beneficial feed ingredient with a proven track record. Many animal producers are using a yeast mannan product. CitriStim is a proprietary feed ingredient manufactured solely by ADM and is the most cost effective product in its class. How CitriStim differentiates itself from other top beef/dairy /poultry/swine yeast mannan products Consistent Quality - Manufactured solely by ADM in one food grade facility, yielding a product with exceptional high, consistent quality with very minimal variability in yeast mannan content. Demonstrated Efficacy - The efficacy of CitriStim is proven scientifically through internal and external research. Single Site Production - Provides consistency. Manufacturing Efficiencies - CitriStim is a proprietary feed ingredient manufactured solely by ADM. CitriStim has the following great features:

Consistent quality - Manufactured solely for Alliance Nutrition by ADM in a food-grade facility, yielding a product with exceptional high, consistent quality with minimal variability in yeast mannan content. Single site production - Helps guarantee consistency. Manufacturing efficiencies - CitriStim is a proprietary feed ingredient manufactured solely by ADM. CitriStim is the most cost effective product in its class. Functionality - Study results substantiate the value of CitriStim and support sales efforts. The efficacy of yeast mannan products is unquestioned in the scientific community. (ADM Research Studies S04107, B05103, and P07106.) Demonstrated efficacy - Research documents CitriStim's deleterious effect on E. coli populations. Substances comparable to CitriStim have also been shown to have the same effect on other pathogenic bacteria, such as Salmonella, Klebsiella and Clostridium. CitriStim is the yeast (Pichia guilliermondii) cell wall harvested after production of citric acid. WHOLE-YEAST HAS POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON HEALTH STATUS OF ANIMALS (Suggested Modes of Action graphic reference brochure) Infection: More than 30 years of research involving yeast mannans, which are provided in whole yeast, have shown many fimbriated bacteria species readily adhere to the surface of yeast mannans, thereby interfering with the infection process. Due to the pathogen adhering effect of yeast mannans, fewer pathogens are available for intestinal colonization, resulting in lower infection rates (refer to #1 in Suggested Modes of Action). Pathogenic species that have shown possible adhering to yeast mannans include: E. coli, Salmonella, Proteus, and Klebsiella. Gut Immunity: Yeast mannans and beta-glucans provide conditioning for gut immunity. CitriStim is consistently high in yeast mannan and beta-glucan content. Research shows intestinal immune cells (Peyer's Patches) are highly responsive to yeast mannans and beta-glucans in whole yeast. The result is elevated immune signaling and recruitment of macrophages and other immune cells to the intestine to counter anticipated pathogenic challenges (refer to #2 in Suggested Modes of Action). What can you expect from ADM CitriStim? ADM research studies document average performance improvements: Receiving cattle: 10% ADG; 7% efficiency Dairy calves: 12% ADG Nursery pigs: 3% ADG; 2.5% efficiency Poultry: 2% ADG; 5% efficiency ADM field observations report the following: Lower morbidity With disease challenge, severity of scouring was reduced Indications of better immune response as manifested by lower somatic cell count in lactating dairy cattle Why ADM CitriStim?

Consistency of single site production and process control A unique strain of whole yeast A highly biologically active source of yeast mannans and beta-glucans Demonstrated efficacy CitriStim, a yeast mannan, is an ADM proprietary yeast (Pichia guilliermondii) supplement that can be used in receiving cattle diets to enhance growth. Yeast mannans have been shown to influence the population of pathogenic bacteria (including E. coli, Salmonella, Proteus, Klebsiella, and Clostridium) by lowering their numbers. CitriStim for Beef Studies show CitriStim improved gain and feed conversion in arrival cattle (ADM Research Studies B03102 and B05103). CitriStim can also be used in other cattle diets. Calves Based on their activity against the pathogenic bacteria population, yeast mannans may be beneficial to a calf s gastrointestinal health, which may help enhance calf growth. CitriStim can be added to milk replacers or starter feed to help enhance calf performance and health. Calves nursing cows consuming mineral containing CitriStim may realize benefits. Receiving Cattle/High Stress CitriStim can be added to arrival/starter feed to help enhance the growth of calves and yearlings (ADM Research Studies B03102 and B05103). Studies using CitriStim show that dry matter intake increased an average 7% and average daily gain improved an average 15.25%. Receiving studies also showed improved dry matter conversion. Cow/Calf CitriStim may enhance calf gut health. Research documents CitriStim's deleterious effect on E. coli populations. Substances comparable to CitriStim have also been shown to have the same effect on other pathogenic bacteria, such as Salmonella, Klebsiella, and Clostridium. This may have a positive influence on the naíve, young calf's environment. CitriStim works best as part of an overall scour management program which includes vaccination for viruses and approved ionophores for cocci. Consult a veterinarian for diagnosis of existing calf scour problem. Recommended Beef Feeding Rates for CitriStim Beef Cattle: 7-14 grams/head/day Stressed Cattle: grams/head/day Calves: 2-4 grams/head/day

CitriStim For Dairy CitriStim can be used in all stages of dairy production. The most beneficial period to use CitriStim is during the stressful transition phase and during lactation. Calves Studies show inclusion of CitriStim to milk replacers or starter feed helped improve calf growth (ADM Research Studies D07103 and D07201). Research documents CitriStim's deleterious effect on E. coli populations. Substances comparable to CitriStim have also been shown to have the same effect on other pathogenic bacteria, such as Salmonella, Klebsiella, and Clostridium. This may have a positive influence on the naïve, young calf's environment. Based on their activity against the pathogenic bacteria population, yeast mannans may be beneficial to a calf's gastrointestinal health, which may help enhance calf growth. Dry Period The action of CitriStim against pathogenic bacteria may be beneficial during the dry period. Transition Period (three weeks prior to calving) CitriStim can be fed to transition cows during high stress/depressed immune periods. Lactation CitriStim may help support the immune system, which will enable the cow to direct more energy towards milk production rather than fighting an infection. Recommended Dairy Feeding Rates for CitriStim Dairy Calves: 1-4 grams/head/day or 2-8 lb/ton of milk replacer or calf starter feed. During stress periods recommended use is 7 grams/head/day Dry Period: 7-14 grams/head/day or 1-2 lb/ton of feed Transition Period: grams/head/day, starting 3 weeks prior to calving Lactation: 7-14 grams/head/day or 1-2 lb/ton of complete feed CitriStim For Equine CitriStim can be used in foal diets to enhance growth. It can also be used in mature horse diets. Foals Based on their activity against the pathogenic bacteria population, yeast mannans may be beneficial to a foal's gastrointestinal health, which may help enhance foal growth. CitriStim can be added to milk replacers or creep feed to help enhance foal performance and health. Foals nursing mares consuming feeds containing CitriStim may realize benefits. Stressed Horses When added to weanling and yearling horse diets, CitriStim may benefit growth. Based on research with other species, CitriStim may have a positive influence on dry matter intake and average daily gain of horses. Mare/Foal CitriStim may enhance foal gut health.

Research documents CitriStim's deleterious effect on E. coli populations. Substances comparable to CitriStim have also been shown to have the same effect on other pathogenic bacteria, such as Salmonella, Klebsiella, and Clostridium. This may have a positive influence on the naive, young foal's environment CitriStim works best as part of an overall health program which includes vaccination for viruses and bacterial infections. Consult a veterinarian for diagnosis of existing foal diarrhea problems. Recommended Equine Feeding Rates for CitriStim Mature Horses: 7-14 grams/head/day Stressed Horses: grams/head/day Foals: 2-4 grams/head/day CitriStim For Poultry CitriStim contains yeast mannans and beta-glucans which are critical dietary modulators used for all stages of poultry development. Starter Phase Supplementation of CitriStim (ADM Research Study P07106) plays a positive role in regard to feed efficiency in the starter phase and improves the immune response of poultry. Grower Phase CitriStim has been shown to continue to enhance the immune response during the growing phase of poultry. Finishers/Withdrawal Phases Birds fed CitriStim have been better prepared to initiate an immune response when exposed to a challenge (ADM Research Study P07402). Poultry Breeders/Commercial Layers The documented action of yeast mannans in combating pathogenic bacteria results in a healthier gastrointestinal tract environment, thereby enabling better efficiency of poultry breeders, commercial layers, broilers, and turkeys. When used in non-medicated diets, CitriStim was demonstrated to maintain growth rate, reduce variationin bird weight (ADM Research Study P05102) and improve daily gain and feed efficiency (ADM Research Study P07106). Recommended Poultry Feeding Rates for CitriStim Starters: 2-3 lb/ton of complete feed Growers: 2 lb/ton of complete feed Finishers/Withdrawal: 1 lb/ton of complete feed Breeders/Layers: 1-2 lb/ton of complete feed CitriStim For Swine CitriStim can be used in all stages of swine production. In research studies, CitriStim has consistently improved performance of nursery pigs. CitriStim is believed to have a positive impact on gut microbial population and immune function of all classes of swine.

Nursery Phase CitriStim has been shown to significantly improve daily gain and feed efficiency in several nursery studies (ADM Research Studies S03119, S04107, S05115, and S07117) CitriStim benefits weanling pigs because in-vitro research has shown that yeast mannans help remove E. coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium from the intestinal tract. Grower/Finish Phase ADM research has demonstrated that CitriStim improved feed efficiency of grow-finish pigs (ADM Research Study S05203). Yeast mannans play a nutritional role in lower gut fermentation; the result is the production of volatile fatty acids which serve as an additional energy source. Gestation/Lactation Sow Phase Yeast mannans may have a positive effect on litter weaning weight and pre-weaning mortality. Yeast products may increase sow colostrum immunoglobulin content, which may be due to the presence of beta-glucan and yeast mannan. Recommended Swine Feeding Rates for CitriStim Nursery Pigs: 2-4 lb/ton of complete feed Growing Pigs: 2 lb/ton of complete feed Finishing Pigs: 1 lb/ton of complete feed Gestation/Lactation Sows: 2-4 lb/ton of complete feed
