The larger branched additive, PCL 9, is somewhat crystalline; the corresponding sample contains a greater amount of large aggregate species. However, when compared to a linear homo-pcl additive of similar molecular weight, which crystallizes more effectively, the branched additive is markedly less active in promoting the formation of large aggregates from spheres.
