17 OTHER DECISIONs: 1. All the section heads to take immediate action to implement the decisions of the consent committee. Consents which have been approved in the committee so far shall be cleared without keeping anything pending. (All the section heads). 2. Letter to be issued to all the concerned Departments to notify the buffer as per the NGT order. (Infrastructure Cell) 3. Clusters of stone crushers are illegally operating near Municipal solid waste facility of BBMP at Bellahalli abandoned quarry area. SEO-Mines shall initiate immediate action to close down the operation of these crushers and action taken shall be brought to the notice of the Chairman ( Action : SEO-Mines section) 4. Following information about CETP shall be placed before the next consent committee: Total number of CETPs in the state, their individual capacities, RO wise details of industries handing over the effluents to CETP, quantity of effluents handed over to CETP by each industry, which of the CETP has exceeded its capacity or still has adequate capacity to receive the effluents. The details shall be expedited and be placed before the next consent committee. (Action: SEO-WMC) 5. The Committee noticed that in most of the cases, Regional officers are recommending for the consent based on their latest inspection report and are not reporting the non-compliances observed during their earlier inspections. For Water based industries, Regional Officers are not sending the compiled data of analysis reports of earlier visits, in which case, it does not indicate true picture about the industry s compliance status. Hence, the committee clearly instructed all the section heads to see that the Regional Officer will make his recommendations based on at least four of his inspection reports done when the industry is in operation and also that he gives the compiled data of analysis reports of all his four visits in his report while making his recommendations for consents.
