Case Study For 49 Year Old Female Suffering Osteoarthritis Pre-Study Health Symptoms & Brief Client Health History In otherwise generally good health. Presents with chronic and degenerative osteoarthritis in the left hip that causes persistent pain and loss of mobility. Notable to this case is her life background of a very hard upbringing that has left her with some emotional problems and issues. Brief Background on Condition Suffered Often called "wear and tear" arthritis, osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis in the U.S. Australia and indeed the western world. In most cases, over time, cartilage in joints breaks down, and OA symptoms begin to occur. OA is most commonly found in the: Knees Hips Hands and fingers Spine Wrists, elbows, shoulders, and ankles can also be affected by OA, but this occurs less frequently. When OA is found in these joints, there may have been a history of injury or stress to that joint. The symptoms of osteoarthritis Typically, OA comes on slowly. For many, the first signs are joints that ache after physical work or exercise. As the disease progresses, other most common symptoms include: Pain in a joint Swelling or tenderness in one or more joints Stiffness after periods of inactivity, such as sleeping or sitting Flare-ups of pain and inflammation after use of the affected joint Crunching feeling or sound of bone rubbing on bone (called crepitus) when the joint is used If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it's important to talk to your doctor to find out if you have OA. Where do symptoms of osteoarthritis typically appear? OA most often occurs in the following areas: Knees Because knees are primarily weight-bearing joints, they are very commonly affected by OA. If you have OA in your knees, you may feel that these joints are stiff, swollen, and painful, making it hard to walk, climb, and get in and out of chairs and bathtubs. Hips OA in the hip can cause pain, stiffness, and severe disability. Hips both support the weight of the CRAIG HITCHENS THERAPIES CASE STUDY PAGE 3

body and enable movement of your lower body. When you have OA in your hips, you may also feel the pain in your groin, inner thigh, or knees. OA in the hip can lead to difficulty moving, bending, and walking. Fingers and Hands When OA occurs in hands and fingers, the base of the thumb joint is commonly affected and people experience stiffness, numbness, and aching. Other symptoms of hand and finger OA include: Heberden's nodes: small bony knobs that appear on the end joints of fingers Bouchards's nodes: small bony knobs that appear on the middle joints of fingers Spine If you have OA of the spine, you may experience stiffness and pain in the neck or in the lower back. Sometimes arthritis-related changes in the spine can put pressure on the nerves, causing weakness or numbness in your arms or legs. What causes osteoarthritis? While the exact cause of OA is unknown, joint damage can be due to repetitive movement (also known as "wear and tear"). It can also begin as the result of an injury. Either way, with OA there's erosion of the cartilage, the part of the joint that covers the ends of the bones. Cartilage acts as a shock absorber, allowing the joint to move smoothly. As cartilage breaks down, the ends of the bones thicken and the joint may lose its normal shape. With further cartilage breakdown, the ends of the bones may begin to rub together, causing pain. In addition, damaged joint tissue can cause the release of certain substances called prostaglandins, which can also contribute to the pain and swelling characteristic of the disease. Here are some factors that may increase your risk of developing OA: Age Age is the strongest risk factor for OA. Although OA can start in young adulthood, in these cases, it is often due to joint injury. Gender OA affects both men and women. However, before age 45, OA occurs more frequently in men; after age 45, OA is more common in women. Joint injury or overuse caused by physical labor or sports Traumatic injury to a joint increases your risk of developing OA in that joint. Joints that are used repeatedly in certain jobs may be more likely to develop OA because of injury or overuse. Obesity The chances of getting OA generally increase with the amount of weight the body s joints have to bear. The knee is particularly affected because it is a major weight-bearing joint. Joint Alignment People with joints that don t move or fit together correctly, like bowlegs, dislocated hips, or double-jointedness, are more likely to develop OA in those joints. Heredity An inherited defect in one of the genes responsible for manufacturing cartilage may be a contributing factor in developing OA. CRAIG HITCHENS THERAPIES CASE STUDY PAGE 4

Osteoarthritis diagnosis If you experience joint pain, stiffness, and/or swelling that won't go away, you should make an appointment to see your doctor. Your doctor will be able to determine if you have arthritis and, if so, what type. When you see your doctor about your symptoms, he or she may ask questions about when and how you started experiencing them. The doctor will probably give you a physical examination to check your general health, and examine the joints that are bothering you. You may also need other tests to help confirm the diagnosis of OA and determine the extent and severity of joint damage. Some of these may include: X-rays. X-rays can help the doctor determine whether you have OA or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A series of X-rays obtained over time can show how fast joint damage is progressing. X-rays of the affected joints can show cartilage loss, bone damage, and extra bone growth (known as bone spurs) that can develop on the surface of normal bones. Joint Aspiration. If your doctor is still uncertain about the diagnosis or suspects that you may have an infection, he or she may perform joint aspiration. In this procedure, your doctor withdraws and examines synovial fluid (a liquid that lubricates the joint) from affected joints using a needle. If you are experiencing some of these symptoms, the sooner you talk to your doctor, the sooner you may get diagnosed and get treatment. - Sourced from Brief Background on Treatment Method NES MiHealth The NES MiHealth device is a powerful hand-held device that is non-invasive compact muftifunctional instrument applied directly to the skin or held a short distance away from the body with the aim of harmonizing the self adaption and harmonizing functions of the human body. It utilizes short pulse electrical waves and magnetic fields of a specific nature and frequency spectrum which interact with the body s connective tissue matrix, with the effect of accelerating fatigue recovery in the cells, tissues and mind. The MiHealth may be used to address acute and chronic situations in the body and has applications covering physical, energy, mind, well being, protection, personal transformation and other specialist areas. Additionally, it can also be used to stimulate specific points on the body, helping it to come back to balance, enabling it to begin the self-healing process and better prepare for NESHealth Infoceutical programs. The NES MiHealth offers the synergistic effect of: NES Health Informational Healthcare NES Health Information is the prevalent capability within the NES MiHealth. It works with your body s natural energy and information systems to restore the balance and re-activate your body s own healing mechanisms. Bio-electro-Stimulation Therapy (BEST) BEST uses biofeedback to stimulate the natural healing process by sending mild electro impulses through the nervous system. This alerts the body to activate the self healing process. These electro impulses are the carrier medium for the prevalent NES Health Information. Global Scaling Global Scaling refers to the natural frequencies of the body. These are used to open up the information pathways of the body to ensure consistent communication of correct information. How the NES MiHealth works CRAIG HITCHENS THERAPIES CASE STUDY PAGE 5

The MiHealth retrains your body and stimulates healing by communicating specifically with the parts of the body with which it is in contact. The device does this primarily by sending ultra-weak electrical signals, to the spot it is in contact with, and then listening to the body s response from those signals. The goal is to get your body s energy flow back to operating with maximum efficiency. Because the body can easily get trained into patterns where the energy becomes sluggish or stuck, rejuvenating the body s energy flow is critical not just to release any stuck patterns, but also to clear the way for new information and healing messages that can re-train the body into patterns of health and wellness. In essence, the NES MiHealth speaks the human body s language, producing electrical impulses that direct the body to the source location of energy blockages opening up the energetic pathways, stimulating the trigger points and bringing the body back to its natural oscillations and preparing it to receive the new Information from the NES Infoceuticals or Nestrition food supplements. The Infoceuticals re-imprint the body-field back to its original blueprint providing new, and corrected, Information which in turn help the body to remember issues that it may have forgotten (i.e. information has become distorted and the origin of the physical challenge has therefore been lost). The MiHealth, therefore, prepares the body-field for the Re-imprinting and Rebuilding stages of the NESHealth Total Wellness system, allowing the body to then better heal itself because it can now remember the location of the problem, as well as the problem s cause or origin (which may be in a different location within the body). Pain Reduction & Tissue Repair The MiHealth also has a direct biochemical effect via the C-fibres, a particular type of nerve that accounts for about 85% of all nerves in the body. They are known to stimulate the production of neural and other types of peptides that mediate pain reduction and stimulate tissue repair. These fibres react most readily to electro-stimulation, which the MiHealth provides. Another unique feature of the NES MiHealth is that you can use each of its functions in both on-body or off-body (broadcast) mode. That way, no matter what unique constellation of symptoms or complaints you have, the therapist can fully control the intensity of the therapy. The NEShealth infoceuticals and scan were also used so if you are unfamiliar with this method of health care, please got to for more information. - Sourced from Case Study Progression 4/7/2014 Kathryn presents with chronic Osteoarthritis and a history of a troubled childhood. Kathryn is receiving both infoceuticals and MiHealth therapy in an effort to prepare her for stem cell therapy and for her subsequent recovery thereafter. Stress is also a factor with Kathryn; she states that she is someone who tends to get stressed easily. Infoceuticals Used BFA, ED2, ED12 - RED Areas to of Scan Watch These are areas of high priority secondary and tertiary to the protocol used. EI 11 ET9 - Digestion. This is a main issue as she shows signs of poor nutrient absorption and mineral imbalances so this will be a focus in subsequent visits. ET1 ES1 - Immune/Autoimmune - This is an obvious area of focus as her condition is autoimmune in nature. CRAIG HITCHENS THERAPIES CASE STUDY PAGE 6

ES4 - Triple cavity - Source flow and lack of source energy is a problem in people with lower body joint issues. ES6, EI 5 - Lymphatics/Inflammation due to free radicals - another obvious area of focus due to the nature of her condition. MiHealth 1 st use with MiHealth so going to use a more conservative approach initially. Biocell, Bone, Joints, Energy balance 2 mins per setting on 1 st power level. Kathryn reports immediate reduction in the ache she feels in her hips and knee after first treatments session. 29/7/2014 Kathryn has shown some improvements in her walking and movement of her hip. Still some lack of general vitality and some more work to do emotionally. Infoceuticals ED8, ES7 LOVE - Looking to help her muscle fields re balance AND HEAL as well as aiding in digestive uptake of much needed nutrients. Love is to help her with a feeling of being more centered. Areas of Scan to Watch EI's 5, 8, 12 - all in need of attention and relate to her general vitality and overall well being. MiHealth Repeated first protocol (Biocell, Bone, Joints, Energy balance) but with longer duration; 4 1 st power setting. Kathryn again reported feeling less pain afterward and this time more freedom of movement after I had her get up and walk around. 15/10/2014 Kathryn has had some improvement in her hip pain and mobility as well as her knee. Her general soreness and stiffness through her upper back neck and shoulders is improved also. Kathryn has also recently had Stem Cell injection therapy to help treat her arthritis. Current and future treatments are aimed at assisting this also. MiHealth 31% 1st setting. General rejuv, chronic balance, biocell, joint % 2nd setting Energy align - 28% 2nd setting. - All were run on both the L Hip and L Knee. She was in some pain after the stem cell injections and was finding her movement restricted. After treatment session she reported a reduction in pain and a general improvement in mobility although not perfect. Infoceuticals EI3 - To assist with mental clarity and focus and aid in bones and calcium metabolism. Continue working at L Hip L knee and using infoceuticals to assist. Scan was otherwise quite clear. CRAIG HITCHENS THERAPIES CASE STUDY PAGE 7

12/11/2014 Kathryn continues to improve. Little or no pain in her L hip or L knee. General body tension is reduced and she is feeling well. MiHealth Matrix carrier, Biocell, Joints, Energy align; 5 2nd power setting. Infoceuticals PL, ES7 - Both RED both relating to her condition. These seem to hold her in good stead overall so a longer term maintenance dosing has been deigned to help her. Continuing to use MiHealth and remedial bodywork to maintain her at this stage and we are scheduling sessions monthly to 6 weekly. Infoceutical and Dosing Schedule From the very beginning Kathryn was dosed at 15 drops daily. She never reported any major healing or detox reactions and was very comfortable in her dosing. Her maintenance dosing is remaining the same for now as she is comfortable with that but may be reduced/increased as needed. Her MiHealth settings were started out in a much more conservative way and we found that as she progressed she was very comfortable with higher settings and felt she derived great benefit from them. Conclusions & Benefits Kathryn certainly experienced a reduction in general pain and discomfort and was most certainly able to move more freely after each session with the MiHealth. Kathryn also noticed a general overall improvement in her well being and general body condition and discomfort level using the Infoceuticals in conjunction. Both her and I attribute her faster recovery from the stem cell injections to the use of the MiHealth and Infoceuticals but it is impossible to know whether or not the stem cell injections or the NESHealth therapy is what is providing the long term improvements at this stage. Further observation over time may prove to be a better indicator. My conclusion is that the MiHealth and NESHealth infoceuticals were effective in this case in relieving pain and discomfort as well as improving mobility generally. They also seemed to provide a great buffer for her stem cell injection therapy to work effectively without any visible interaction or contraindication. Case Study Disclaimer Please note that this is NOT a Clinical Trial. It is simply a case study and any conclusions I draw are based upon observation, not standardized scientific tests. Their purpose is to show how I obtained the positive outcome for my client in this case and to document my observations for possible future uses or improvement.
