Neuro-MS/D Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator 20 Hz stimulation with 100% intensity Peak magnetic field - up to 4 T High-performance cooling: up to pulses during one session Neuro-MS.NET software to control the magnetic stimulator Application areas: psychiatry, neurology, neuroscience and rehabilitation
Neuro-MS/D Features Neurosoft Company is a leader in development and manufacture of devices for TMS. Our first stimulator was created in Nowadays, in almost 20 years of continuous development, we produce extensive line of TMS devices. Hundreds of Neurosoft TMS machines operate in scientific laboratories, neurological and psychiatric clinics all over the world. Neuro-MS/D is the magnetic stimulator of latest generation with the list of unique features. 20 Hz Stimulation with 100% Intensity To achieve the therapeutic effect, it is required to perform stimulation with specified frequency. The researches all over the world create and test continuously TMS protocols to treat different diseases. Often it is assumed that the high-frequency stimulation is required. Neuro-MS/D performs stimulation at 0 to 20 Hz with maximal intensity, 50 Hz stimulation with 50% intensity, 100 Hz stimulation with up to 30% intensity depending on the coil type. All these allow using most advanced and modern treatment protocols. Peak Magnetic Field up to 4 T The peak magnetic field of Neuro-MS/D reaches 4 T. Patients suffering from brain function disorders may sometimes have decreased motor cortex excitability. To ensure the desired stimulation effect, it is required to perform high-intensity stimulation. Using NeuroMS/D device you can achieve such intensities.
High-performance Cooling: up to Pulses During One Session One of the problems of magnetic stimulation is quick overheating of coils during the treatment sessions. We designed special cooling unit and cooled coils to solve this problem. The unit allows increasing continuous operation up to pulses without overheating. Practically, it means that stimulator can operate for hours without overheating. Neuro-MS.NET Software to Control Magnetic Stimulator Neuro-MS.NET software allows to customize any stimulation algorithms. This software keeps patient database, controls the stimulation courses and sessions. It is equipped with the preset templates for treatment of neurological and psychiatric diseases and several experimental templates. There is no need to search in books and articles to find the stimulation parameters for treatment of depression, Parkinson s disease or other disorders, you just select required template and start the stimulation! Modular Construction of Magnetic Stimulator We offer three standard variants of stimulators targeted to solve a wide range of clinical and research tasks. Each variant can be adjusted to meet different clinical and research demands.
Main Components of Neuro-MS/D Stimulato Main Unit Main unit is the basis of device. It controls all other units or can be used as a stand-alone machine. The front panel contains digital indicators displaying all parameters of stimulator and controls used to adjust parameters. To attach the stimulator to PC, main unit has USB socket. Coil Holder During the treatment session it is very important to be sure that stimulation is delivered to the targeted brain area. Special coil holder supplied together with Neuro- MS/D allows free movement of the coil around patient head and its quick fixation at any position. Cooling Unit One of the problems of magnetic stimulator use is quick overheating of coils during the stimulation. We designed special cooling unit and cooled coils to solve this problem. In fact, this is a tank with the cooling liquid and the pump running the cooling liquid through the coil and the cooler. Extra Power Supply Unit The main unit of the magnetic stimulator is designed to operate with up to 30 Hz frequency. However, the main unit alone can deliver maximum intensity only at 5-7 Hz frequency. The extra power supply unit makes it possible to increase this frequency up to Hz depending on coil type and maximum frequency up to 100 Hz.
r Neuro-MS.NET Software The Windows-based software is intended to ensure easy control of machine. The patient database, the database of preset templates of treatment courses for different diseases, and the treatment template editor are main parts of the software. Using Neuro-MS.NET you just create patient folder in the database and assign him/ her one of the treatment templates. After this simple procedure at each visit of this patient the software itself sets certain parameters of stimulator, gives hints about correct coil position and runs the session. The software is optimized for touchscreen interface. Neuro-MEP-Micro 2-channel EMG Machine Neuro-MEP-Micro is a powerful EMG and EP system with extended possibilities to perform different TMS measurements such as MEP, SP, TST, IHI, etc. TMS Navigation System Until recently in most cases anatomical landmarks were used to detect the stimulation area. Such stimulation sometimes is not enough accurate because of individual anatomical peculiarities of subjects. Navigation system is a set of special sensors positioned on a patient, TMS coil and software. It builds 3D model of individual skin and brain using MRI data and then shows actual coil position relative to the brain on the PC screen in real time. It gives possibility to see virtually the exact coil target on the brain. Delivery Set Neuro-MS/D Main Unit Cooling Extra Power Unit Supply Unit Neuro- MEP- Micro Neuro- MS.NET Software Diagnostic Therapeutic Advanced Therapeutic
Neuro-MS/D Line Diagnostic The diagnostic variant of magnetic stimulator is intended for joint operation with neurophysiological (EMG) equipment to study the state of cerebral, spinal and peripheral motor pathways. The most common measurements are motor evoked potentials (MEP), central motor conduction time (CMCT), cortical silent period (CSP), root delay, triple stimulation test (TST) and others. If the stimulator is equipped with second main unit and second coil, you can perform the paired stimulation using two coils. First pulse is delivered from one coil and then from another one with the specified delay (from 0 to 1 s with millisecond accuracy). The EMG system is needed to perform all abovementioned studies. The maximum diagnostic capabilities can be shown if the device is used together with neurophysiological systems made in Neurosoft. However, the magnetic stimulator can operate with equipment of other manufacturers. Therapeutic and Advanced Therape The principle of therapeutic magnetic stimulation is based on the following. The magnetic stimulator uses the magnetic pulses of short duration. The emerging high-intensity electromagnetic field easily penetrates through skin, cranium bones and soft tissues. As the result the electrical current is induced within the cortex. This electrical current can modulate activity and excitability of cortex for period of time exceeding the stimulation session time. This modulation has proven therapeutic effect for the list of neurological and psychiatric disorders. The cooling unit included in therapeutic delivery set variant allows performing long-term treatment sessions without coil overheating.
utic Advanced therapeutic variant is targeted at highfrequency stimulation templates (20 Hz, 50 Hz and even 100 Hz) owing to extra power supply unit. Neuro-MS/D (Therapeutic and Advanced Therapeutic) Applications: Psychiatry: treatment of depressions, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, tinnitus, manias and other psychiatric disorders. Neurology: treatment of consequences of stroke, pain syndrome, migraine, Parkinson s disease. Both variants include Neuro-MS.NET software allowing to customize any stimulation templates. Under Neuro-MS.NET software control stimulator can work in theta-burst (TBS) mode with up to 100 Hz stimulation frequency. If the therapeutic/advanced therapeutic variant is equipped with additional coils, it can perform all functions of diagnostic variant. TMS Use to Make Prognosis of Post-stroke Rehabilitation TMS is an important diagnostic tool intended to study the motor cortex functions and motor pathways in stroke patients. Using TMS the following parameters are often studied: MEP amplitude recorded at cortex stimulation and amplitude ratio (MEP/M-wave) characterize the number of undamaged motoneurons in cortex structures and its excitability. Central motor conduction time (CMCT) shows the integrity of motor pathways. MEP amplitude facilitation ratio (rest MEP/ MEP obtained at active muscle contraction) may evidence the motoneuron reserve. All parameters are recorded separately from right and left sides.
