1 21 st Working Group Meeting of the Scandinavian Sarcoma Group December 5-6, 2016 Malmö PROGRAM Version
2 Introduction Welcome to the 21 st Scandinavian Sarcoma Group Working Committee Meeting in Malmø As usual all working committees have their own program and will discuss comprehensively selected topics. On Tuesday afternoon the Visceral and retroperitoneal sarcoma working group will have their own meeting (as previous years). Monday morning the first topic to be discussed is the SSG and possible tasks for the future. At the General assembly there will be election of three new board members. Information of the status of the central registry and proposals for collaborating on international register studies will follow. As previous years a PhD project bill be presented and this time a Norwegian chondrosarcomas project. Doctors and nurses are facing great challenges in their work with initiating/running studies, and many of these obstacles will be discussed. Our Danish colleagues will inform us about the program for the 38 th SSG Plenary Meeting in Aarhus on September 20-22, Deadline for abstracts May 1 st, Notably, our Scandinavian multidisciplinary cooperation is central in maintaining a high quality of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with bone- and soft tissue sarcoma. We should therefore strengthen such cooperation in the future. All chairmen of the working committees should send their report from the meeting to the SSG`s secretariat, our administrative secretary Eva-Mari Olofsson (Eva-Mari.Olofsson@med.lu.se) before December 18 th, Kirsten Sundby Hall, chairman Mikael Eriksson, secretary Scandinavian Sarcoma Group
