My total experience in pathology till date is 10years after completion of M.D. The major part of my training is in surgical and hematologic oncopathology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai which is an apex cancer care institute of India with approximately 20,000 new patient registrations every year. The work at Dept. of Surgical Pathology includes approximately 36,000 histopathology specimens, 8000 FNACs and around 6,000 frozen sections per year. The department of Haemato-oncology reports approximately 6000 bone marrow aspirates every year. I am also conversant with the cytochemistry and immunohistochemistry techniques, immunophenotyping of hematologic malignancies by Flow Cytometry and application of cytogenetic and molecular diagnostic techniques in surgical and hematopathology. The nature of my work has been grossing and reporting of surgical specimens, frozen sections, performing and reporting of FNACs and reporting of peripheral smears and bone marrow aspirates on daily basis. The daily work also includes interpretation of flow cytometry data and immunohistochemistry for the solid tumors. I am routinely performing various procedures like FNAC and bone marrow trephine biopsies.

3 I am also actively involved in the academic meetings, journal and lecture classes for post graduate studies and technical staff of the laboratory. I am conversant with the laboratory quality assurance programme and have worked actively for NABL accreditation at Tata Memorial Hospital as well as Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune. Consultant Pathologist: Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune from 7 th March, 2005 till date. Currently working as consultant oncopathologist as well as chief hematopathologist at Dept. of Pathology, NABL (ISO: 15189) accreditated comprehensive laboratory catering to this 400 bedded institute located in Pune. In addition to the routine laboratory activities, actively involved in the clinical research trials in oncology since I have also attended Good Clinical Practices workshop held in I am actively participating in D.N.B. training programme as a Post graduate guide at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital since last 2 years. I am also running a Specialty surgical and hematopathology centre in Pune. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS: 2 nd rank in the M.D. examinations in July 2002, University of Pune. 1 st prize in the intercollegiate HIV and AIDS quiz conducted by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in March st prize for the oral paper presentation at Maharashtra chapter conference of IAPM in September 2003 at Sevagram, Wardha. 1 st prize for the kodachrome quiz at MAPCON 2003, Sevagram, Wardha. 2 nd prize for the kodachrome quiz at MAPCON 2000, Goa.
