2 Sivagami M is 17 year old, a12th pass with 54% hails from Tamil Nadu. She lost her father when she was just 6 years old. She expresses her gratitude to Mr Suresh Babu,Head HR who got her enrolled into the Electrician training program sponsored by Schneider Electric India Foundation. She is now employed at Chenai Plant and earns a monthly salary of INR4040/- Sivagami has witnessed personally her mother struggling to struggling to meet the basic needs of her family with 6 small children. She wants to be a great support to her family and mother who has run from pillar to post to cope with poverty. She has a great desire to pursue a degree in BSc Chemistry as she wants to be an independent individual like any of us. She further shares that she has already started saving Rs1000/- from her monthly salary towards the fulfillment of her desire and dream! 2
3 Gaja Lakshmi yet another beneficiary of Electrician Training program sponsored by SEI Foundation.She is 10 th pass and a native of Aminjikari,Chennai.She completed her training in Nov,2010 and is supported with placement at SE Chennai plant. She is very happy with her job and has every hope that she will make it to her dream of higher studies. 3

5 R Shanthi whose father is an auto driver and mother a housemaid were worried about the grownup daughters future. The local news paper is the source through which they learnt about the wonderful initiative of Electrician Training Program sponsored by SEI Foundation for unemployed youth. After successful completion of the program she is supported with placement at Chennai Plant Ambattur. R Shanthi is grateful to SE for helping her develop the required skill and work with enthusiasm. 5
6 D Anusuya holds a Bachelors degree in Tamil literature is a native of Mugappeiar, Chennai. She is happy to have learnt about the Electrician Training program sponsored by SEI Foundation with the mission. to change lives of underprivileged youth through Access to Energy She has good knowledge of M S office and is very interested in the Electrical line. She wants to continue gaining experience at SE Chennai plant and is very confident that hard work will help her progress in life! 6
7 My dream. is to establish my own Electrical shop! Shares R Sasikala, a 20 year old beneficiary of the first batch of women Electrician Training at Chennai. She is proud to have a secured placement at SE Chennai Plant,Ambattur. She is eager to spread this awareness among all underprivileged youth she encounters. 7
8 What better can one expect than a completely sponsored and skilled based program! Yes after completing SSLC I was worried about my future as my parents could not afford to educate me further. My father who works as a watchman came to know about the Electrician Training program through the Mr Raman,the MD of TVS, Lucas. I was so happy that he shared this information with my mother and me. I wasted no time in saying yes as Schneider Electric is a multinational company. I m happy to have enrolled into the program which was sponsored SEI Foundation and today I ve begun dreaming of great future. 8
