3 It s important for people to realize, if you have a dream, you can achieve it, Claire Chesnoff says, while discussing her journey in the real estate world. There is no doubt Claire has achieved her dream, as owner of Claire Properties with offices in both Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York. She worked hard to get to this point, starting off as a single mom with three children and previously working as a substitute teacher. When she wasn t offered a permanent position in the area she lived, she decided to pursue real estate full-time. On a wing and a prayer, I stepped forward as a real estate agent for a top producer, she explains. By March of 1998, she was on her way towards success. The second year she was in real estate, she broke six figures, and hasn t looked back since. Since then, she has been featured by numerous magazines and radio shows, including IHeartRadio. I can really do whatever my clients need, she says. With nine designations, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)

4 which only 3% of all REALTORS in the nation have achieved, the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Green Designation (GREEN), and Accredited Buyer s Representative (ABR), among many others, she is well equipped to handle any situation. Because she comes from an education background, expanding her skills and knowledge has been a cornerstone to her business. In addition, Claire is hyper-focused on serving her clients, and does everything possible to ensure their happiness. As the owner of a boutique firm, Claire wants all clients to receive a concierge-like experience. I get up early in the morning and work harder and smarter than many people, she explains. Extremely detail-oriented, she makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. During the process, clients feel appreciative of her skill level and service. One recent client raved about her ability to get them towards their goals, saying, I had my home listed with a broker for 2 years. The house was not properly listed in MLS,

Nearly 18 years into her career, Claire feels grateful to be where she is today, and is excited to see where the future takes her. She can t wait to continue building her business.
