25 Tips from a Therapist Getting Started and Beyond Use the Hearing Goals sheet to help you determine your own personal needs. Make short term goals: e.g. I want to understand sentences in quiet. Make long term goals: e.g. I want to talk with my grandchildren on the phone. Establish time each day to work in Sound Success. Enlist an accountability partner (if that helps you) to make sure you are continuing to practice. Try not to become frustrated as tasks become more difficult. Work on the tasks in quiet and then add a little noise to make it more challenging. Remember where you started!
