Visiting Scholar in Residence National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Morehouse School of Medicine & The Centers for Disease Control Cincinnati, OH; April 1997 May 1999 Conducted research in the Physical Agents Effects Branch (PAEB) in the Division of Biomedical and Behavioral Science (DBBS) under the primary direction of Dr. John Franks (Chief, Bioacoustics and Occupational Vibration Section). The research determined feasibility of various pilot field test methods and noise attenuation characteristics of various hearing protectors. Consequently, this lead to the development and deployment of hearing protector test methods designed to be used at the work site. In addition, I was also responsible for performing laboratory daily calibrations, conducted ABR and OAE recordings of chinchillas, and assisting in the dissections of laboratory rats and mice to evaluate the presence of free-radicals in the cochlea after noise exposure Family Hearing Centers Warren, MI; October April 1997 Served as a Clinical Audiologist performing full audiological evaluation; ABR, ENG, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid fittings and hearing aid dispensing.
