13 Microhardness (Hv) No Negative Impact on Composite 1 hour exposure to NIR does not impact composite post cure microhardness Room Temp NIR Oven Filtek Spectrum Esthet-X Dental composites were subjected to prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures from an oven and NIR LED light source for 1 hour. Composite was extruded and immediately cured with a commercially available curing light. Microhardness values were obtained using a Shimadazu precision microhardness device and compared to composite cured at room temperature and no treatment. No statistical difference was observed in microhardness values achieved post cure. No change in composite color observed indicated color stability.
