2 PROGRAM This year marks the 32nd ANNIVERSARY of the annual UNC prosthodontic program at Hilton Head Island. This year's program will focus on topics of interest to all practitioners as we continue the long standing tradition of excellence through a comprehensive program that provides insight on a wide variety of clinical paradigms, technology and innovation. The focus of this year's program will be on Contemporary Ceramic Materials, Orthodontics, Color and Shade matching, Light Curing, treatment of the Worn Dentition, and Dental Implant Therapy. Due to patients demands, there is an increased trend to restore patients dentition with all-ceramic restorations. However, not all all-ceramic materials are alike, and it is important to acquire the knowledge and understanding of their properties to be able to correctly select and manage them in a successful manner. This course will provide an evidence-based knowledge addressing ceramic materials properties (mainly lithium-disilicate and zirconia) in terms of esthetics and strength. It will also discuss concepts of restoration design (bilayered, monolithic, and hybrid) for all-ceramic restorations and how appropriate design may alleviate prospective complications in practice. This course will highlight how the advent of CAD/CAM technology supports the fabrication of some of these restorations in the dental laboratory with emphasis on zirconia-based restorations. Preparation design, insertion aspects (adhesive/traditional cementation procedures), advantages and limitations, and treatment planning considerations for complete-coverage all-ceramic restorations will all be discussed. In addition, the program will focus on the unique properties of zirconia and its use for custom implant abutments and screw-retained implantsupported restorations. The program will also highlight various modern Orthodontic concepts of interest to the general dentist. Diagnosis and management of patients with worn dentition and dental implant therapy for both the edentulous and the partially edentulous patients will be discussed in an evidence based manner. The various concepts and techniques to be presented will be supported by a wide variety of clinical examples. This program is a "must see" for those who treat adult patients and who seek learning the most updated, evidence based dental treatment and management of the restorative patient. 4 ABOUT THE SPEAKERS Dr. Ariel J. Raigrodski is a Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. He also maintains a private practice limited to Restorative, Implants and Esthetic Dentistry in Lynnwood, WA. He is Assistant Editor of The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and a member of the editorial review boards of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, the Journal of Prosthodontics, and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Raigrodski is a graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Israel. He received his certificate in Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where he also completed a fellowship in implants and esthetics, and an MS degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a member of many professional organizations. An author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters, Dr. Raigrodski s research is mainly clinical and focuses in all-ceramics, implants, and CAD/CAM technology. He is the Author of Soft Tissue Management: The Restorative Perspective-Putting Concepts into Practice published in 2015 by Quintessence Publishing. He lectures extensively both nationally and internationally. Dr. Ibrahim Duqum is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics and the Director of the New Education Experience and Technology Place (NEXT) at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Dr. Tate H. Jackson is an Assistant Professor at the University Of North Carolina Department Of Orthodontics. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated first in his class with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Jackson earned an MS degree as a part of his specialty training in Orthodontics at UNC. He also completed the Proffit Teaching Fellowship as well as the NextGen Fellowship in clinical and translational research. After practicing Orthodontics full-time in Manhattan, Dr. Jackson joined the faculty at UNC as an Assistant Professor in June of Dr. Jackson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr.Taiseer Sulaiman is an assistant professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry in the UNC SOD. He received a clinical certificate from the UNC Department of Operative Dentistry and his PhD from the Department of Prosthetic and Biomaterials Science, University of Turku, Finland in collaboration with the UNC Department of Operative Dentistry. His research focuses on integrated and applied material sciences in areas of dental ceramics, color in dentistry, dental cements and composite resins. He is an active member of numerous clinical and research academies, and a speaker/lecturer nationally and internationally. Dr. Robert Wright is a professor and chair of the department of Prosthodontics at the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists.

6 INFORMATION CONTINUED REGISTRATION AND FEES The complete 6-day activity registration fees are $1050 for Dentists and $550 for Team Members. You may attend on a daily basis for a fee of $300/day for Dentists and $200/day for Team Members. UNC CDE recommends that you do not make air travel arrangements prior to receiving a receipt of payment or confirmation. UNC CDE is not responsible for any travel-related costs. The UNC School of Dentistry designates this activity for up to 24 hours of continuing education credits for attending the complete 6 day program. Up to 4 hours of continuing education credit per day. This course will be held daily from 8:00am to 12:30pm. Your registration fee includes a buffet breakfast each morning, activity materials and CE credit.
