3 We aim to train people to become professionals who are capable of tackling the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of oral and dental diseases based on good criteria and skill. The solid academic education we provide is complemented by intensive practical sessions in the University Dental Clinic. We are located on the university s Sant Cugat Campus, with a total area of more than m 2. Through this degree programme you will become a professional who is capable of applying scientific knowledge and the technical skills acquired to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of oral and dental diseases. 4 Mobility agreements We hold 2 international mobility agreements in 14 countries such as Witten/Herdecke University (Germany), the Medical University of Graz (Austria), Ghent University (Belgium), Paris Descartes University (Paris), la Universidad de los Andes (Chile), the University of Oslo (Norway), the University of Coimbra (Portugal),Tufts University (USA) and the Université de Montpellier (France). Work Placement Agreements As well as hrs spent at the University Dental Clinic (CUO) from the 2nd year, 5th year students have the opportunity to find out about other dentistry positions by doing curricular international internships or in the following institutions: Catalonia Pro People with Mental Disabilities Private Foundation (Catalonia Foundation) Terrassa Health Consortium The Catalan Healthcare Institute We also hold various work placement agreements with different institutions such as Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and the Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya. 2

5 Resources and facilities University Dental Clinic (CUO): 90 latest generation booths which are all fitted with cutting-edge technology: 88 general booths 2 booths adapted for special patients booths for surgery Operating theatre 1 pre-clinical laboratory with 95 dental simulators and digital x-rays to practice dentistry using a simulator. This new laboratory allows students to practice dentistry before they practice on patients. 2 dental prosthetics laboratories containing the latest CAD-CAM technology which allow students to use the most cutting-edge technology in all the various areas of dentistry. A dental research laboratory. 1 regenerative medicine laboratory. For complementary tests we have x-ray and D machines and planning programmes for implants-prosthetics. An integrated television screen to broadcast operations. 2 image diagnosis rooms, where orthopanthograms can be undertaken as well as lateral and frontal teleradiographs, image capturing systems and CT scans. Treatment planning room. Electronic storage for delivering and collecting material. A sterilisation service for tools and equipment used. All the resources are up to date and the university holds agreements with different industries in the sector, thus promoting a relationship between the industry, universities and R+D+I.
