3 1. Useful websitess 1.1 Evidence-based information / databases is a clinical insight search engine that aggregates information from textbooks and journals. It covers 700 textbooks and 400 top medical journals, ncluding The Lancet, plus expert commentary, videos, images, MEDLINE abstracts and selected third-party journals. An NHS Athens account is required for access. 3 UpToDate UpToDate is specifically designed to answer the clinical questions that arise in daily practice and to do so quickly and easily so that it can be used right at the point of care. The published evidence is summarized and specific recommendations made for patient care.acces ss via the Trust Intranet homepage. NHS Evidence Managed by the National Institute for Health and Excellence (NICE), this site enables access to authoritative clinical and non-clinical evidence and best practice through a web-based portal. Includes access to the British National Formulary, NICE guidance and much more. NHS Evidence A-Z Topics nhs.uk/topics New clinical topic pages provide accesss to the latest guidelines, high quality patient information, research uncertainties and other selected information across a wide range of conditions. Users can also register to get updates on changes to guidance.
