August August 2010 I was a Tenure-track faculty in the Athletic Training Department. I was charged with the responsibility of coordinating our AT students clinical experience assignments. I taught the following didactic courses in the Athletic Training Education Program. ATTR 143 Introduction to Athletic Training ATTR 410 Organization and Administration of Athletic Training Programs ATTR 492 Senior Seminar in Athletic Training ATTR 405/406 General Medical Conditions ATTR 200 Clinical Experience I (Intro to AT/Exercise Physiology) ATTR 300 Clinical Experience III- (Therapeutic Modalities/Rehabilitation) ATTR 267 Physiology of Exercise ATTR 344 Therapeutic Exercise Adjunct Faculty, Boise State University, Boise, Idaho. Jump Start Program, Bonneville School District 93, Idaho Falls Idaho. August I taught each of these classes each semester. There were 15 students enrolled per class. I Designed the syllabus, assignments, and exams for the courses. These classes received college credit through Boise State University CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program. Introduction To Sports Medicine/Athletic Training o Educated students regarding the role of a sports medicine team in the delivery of medical care to the athlete. o Communicated the proper use of medical terminology related to the field of athletic training. o Teach taping and bandaging techniques for the prevention of athletic injuries. o Demonstrated emergency and first aid procedures for the injured athlete. o Provided basic injury assessment knowledge of the injured athlete. Advanced Sports Medicine/Athletic Training o Educated students in applied anatomy. o Taught and demonstrate proper injury assessment protocols. o Demonstrated the proper usage of therapeutic modalities. o Communicated principles of athletic injury rehabilitation. o Instructor, Green River Sports Medicine Symposium, Green River, Wyoming. May A continuing education seminar for coaches and school nurses in the Green River and Rock Springs School Districts. This was a two-day/ten hour seminar with 20 attendees. I was contacted by the Green River School District Administration and asked to provide this continuing education seminar. When I designed the seminar, I broke it into 6 hours of lecture and 4 hours of

Orthopedic Injury Assessment Techniques for The Upper and Lower Extremities o Supplied the attendees with the knowledge to recognize orthopedic injuries. o Educated attendees in applied anatomy related to orthopedic injury assessment. o Demonstrated proper orthopedic evaluation techniques. Adjunct Faculty, Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho. Spring These classes were taught as a sabbatical replacement; they were a part-time position while pursuing my Doctoral Degree. Human Kinesiology (PE 302) o Course Content: The anatomical and mechanical principles involved in human movement. Including origin, insertion, and function of muscles; function of ligaments and other soft tissues. o Designed syllabus, exams and projects for the course. ~Course consisted of four exams, a movement analysis project, one 5-7- page research paper and an oral presentation. o There were 32 students enrolled in the course, mainly juniors and seniors. Sports Medicine (PE 645) o Course Content: Study of sports medicine principles and practices involved in athletic programs. Includes kinesiological and physiological principles involved in athletics as well as management and administrative concerns related to conducting sports medicine programs. o Developed the syllabus, exams, and projects for the course. ~Course consisted of three exams, one 7-10 page research paper on a topic related to sports medicine, 12 refereed journal article critiques and an oral presentation. o This was a graduate level course with 15 students. Guest Lecturer, Idaho State University, Pocatello Idaho. Spring Semester This guest lecturing consisted of approximately 1/3 of the total course. Advanced Athletic Training o Designed content for the course. o Taught and demonstrated proper procedures of manual muscle testing associated with athletic injury assessment. o Educated students on the theoretical basis of athletic injury rehabilitation. o Demonstrated rehabilitation procedures and techniques related to the injured athlete, including but not limited to: joint mobilization techniques, proprioception, muscle re-education, functional training, therapeutic modalities and PNF stretching techniques. o 20 students enrolled in class. o Developed questions for the final exam of the course.
4 4-Neibert Assistant Professor, Athletic Training Education, Huron University, Huron, South Dakota, I taught three classes a semester while having the added responsibility of traveling with the Men s and Women s Soccer team as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. As part of my position as Assistant Professor of Athletic Training I worked on a team of two to organize/carry out a Self-Study for CAAHEP Accreditation. I left this position to return to Idaho to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Education. Orthopedic Assessment I-lower extremity o Course Description: Orthopedic assessment techniques for the lower extremity. Including the knee, hip, ankle, foot, and lower leg. o Developed the syllabus and exams for the course. ~The course consisted of four exams and two research papers. o There were 20 students enrolled in the course. Orthopedic Assessment II- upper extremity o Course Description: Orthopedic assessment techniques for the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, forearm and wrist. o Developed the syllabus, and exams for the course. ~The course consisted of three exams, two 5-7-page research papers and one small group presentation. o There were 20 students enrolled in the course. Orthopedic Assessment III- head, neck and spine o Course Description: Orthopedic assessment techniques for the head neck and spine including cranial nerve and peripheral neurological assessment techniques. o Designed the content and exams for the course. ~The course consisted of three exams and a 5-7-page research paper. o There were 20 students enrolled in the course. Therapeutic Modalities o Course Description: The application of therapeutic modalities in the treatment of athletic injuries. Including therapeutic massage, electrical modalities, ultrasound, intermittent compression device, hydrotherapy, laser therapy, cryotherapy and thermo therapy. o Developed the course syllabus and content for the class. ~The course consented of four written exams, two practical exams and one research paper. o There were 20 students enrolled in the course. Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries o Course Description: Basic athletic injury nomenclature consisting of recognition of signs and symptoms and preventative measures for athletic injuries.
