1 Hw t becme an AME Online 1. Check that yu meet the minimum technical requirements in rder t use the AME Online system: Operating System: Windws Vista (Service Pack 2) Windws 7 Windws 8, 8.1 Windws 10 Please nte Apple is nt supprted by the CAA. Web brwser: Micrsft Internet Explrer 10 & 11 (Recmmended) Ggle Chrme 50 r abve Mzilla Firefx 36 r abve Yu may still be able t use the AME Online service using ther brwsers and versins, hwever the Applicatin may nt display prperly r allw yu t use all f the functinality. Citrix Sftware: Citrix Receiver 4.1 r abve The Citrix receiver is available t dwnlad here: Printer Printer capable f 4-Up in A4 Landscape HP (Recmmended) Please be advised certain mdels f printers, Samsung specifically the CLX-3180 and M2070 mdels have been knwn t present an issue in which have been reslved by installing the vendr specific printer driver. If yu experience issues with printing frm the system then please cntact the AME Online team. 3 CAA Apprved Interpretative Sftware fr ECG Machines If yu have cmputer diagnstic sftware installed n yur machine, yu can definitively pass an ECG as acceptable when supprted by: Acceptable cmputer diagnstic statements Clinical assessment f the applicant Adherence t ECG reprting prtcls Yur wn reading f the rhythm strip Yur cmparisn f the ECG with previus ECGs, if available. The cmputer has a set f reprting algrithms, which when certain cnditins are met, lead t certain diagnstic statements being printed n the tp f the ECG. The wrding f the statements is fixed but several statements may appear tgether. Clinical assessment f the applicant and adherence t ECG reprting prtcls. There is a little mre t this scheme than just relying n the statements belw. Fr sme f the acceptable cmputer statements, whether they appear alne r in an acceptable statement grup, yu can nly accept them if the fllwing cnditins are met: Marked sinus bradycardia; accept nly if rate > 40 bpm Minimal r mderate vltage criteria fr LVH, may be nrmal variant; accept nly if: physically fit; n hypertensin; n murmur Rightward axis; accept nly if n murmur Sinus tachycardia; accept nly if rate < 110 bpm The rhythm strip The recrding f a rhythm strip is ptinal; hwever, if yu d decide t recrd a rhythm strip then yu must check the rhythm strip carefully. The reasn fr this check is that the cmputer may nt reprt the rhythm strip and s diagnstic statements relate nly t the 12 lead recrding. Hence, it may be pssible that yu culd have a cmputer reprted nrmal 12 lead ECG with an abnrmality n the attached rhythm strip. Cmpare cmputer statements frm previus ECGs Use yur judgment t cmpare statements frm previus recrdings. When yu reprt an ECG in this way the verall respnsibility fr the accuracy f the reprt lies with yu persnally, and s if yur ECG reading skills are rusty yu shuld update yur skills with a suitable curse. 3 f 5 Updated Nvember 2017 v1.2

Hence: Sinus bradycardia Mderate vltage criteria fr LVH, may be nrmal variant..is acceptable. Hwever, Sinus bradycardia Mderate vltage criteria fr LVH, may be nrmal variant Nn specific T wave abnrmality..is nt acceptable. Nw there is an exceptin t this, the prgram prduces diagnstic statements with varius cdes and then the last statement that the prgram prduces may be the s called "Overall Judgment" statement, it will begin with the cde 91.. The list f acceptable statements abve nly includes ne verall judgment cde which is invariably acceptable ** Nrmal ECG** Hwever, smetimes, but certainly nt always, the verall judgment cdes 9130 **Brderline ECG** and 9140 **Abnrmal rhythm ECG**, can be assciated with acceptable diagnstic statements. T get arund this prblem these (9130 and 9140) verall judgment cdes are acceptable nly when they appear in the grups belw.
