3 Different RCTs showed high patency rates and freedom from TLR at one and three years followup of the biomimetic SUPERA stent appropriate stent selection, adequate vessel preparation and deployment technique are mandatory to obtain these results.
4 No studies have still demonstrated procedural feasibility and stent patency rate when long occlusions recanalizations begin at SFA ostium. furthermore in this particular subset of patients a precise stent apposition to the SFA ostium is mandatory obtained only through a retrograde vascular access
