Branded and other communications formats Creating a brand style guide available on web site Standardizing news release and announcement formats Identifying a volunteer for brand-related questions Future Milestones 6/3/6 - Finalize materials inventory/assessment: 7/3/6 - Provide list of recommendations: 1 Merchandising Program Objective - Select and implement inventory management process to manage PMI promotional merchandise, such as sweatshirts, pencils and mousepads. Accomplishments thus far Solidified inventory counts. 14 Membership Programs Career Assistance Program (July 5 May 6) Career Networking Group: Hosted 1 sessions with almost 3 total participants. Job Search Posting: Posted approximately148 project management career opportunities on our web site (3 times as many as the year before). 7 Membership Programs Local Interest Groups (LIGs) Member interest in LIGs is high: attendance has increased three-fold since the beginning of 6 Watch for more great topics starting in August The LIG informational brochure is included in the membership packet for all new members This brochure is available to all members (on the PMI-MN web site,
15 Membership Programs Volunteer Services 1 st Volunteer Fair was held in April 6 Over 5 volunteers signed up at the Fair, with many other attendees taking information about the opportunities available to make our chapter even better! So far, only have 63 volunteers reporting hours in 6 (out of,86 total chapter members) it s YOUR turn to participate! Total number of volunteers in 5 was 116, contributing 11,641 hours of their time to make our chapter even better! Volunteer Hours Credit Redemption Info Sheet Available (online and at the membership info table) Apply last year s hours as $$ towards chapter meeting fees or logo merchandise Volunteer Recognition and Retention will be focus for new/ expanded programs for upcoming year Membership Programs Membership Services Staffing of Membership Information Tables at Chapter Events ongoing Helped with PMI-MN booth at itsmf Conference in May Thanks to our hosts who greet meeting attendees every month New Member Orientation Program being developed and launched this summer Survey of members will be conducted by this fall Development (in partnership with Marketing) of chapterspecific informational pieces planned 3 15
16 Community Outreach Partner Michael Crawford, PMP 31 Community Service Programs Community Project Coaching Program Coaches have completed one of the 6 United Way technology improvement projects and one more will start this summer United Way looking at several more projects later in the year th Paint-A-Thon will be held on August 5 Planning team meeting in June Applications for Yourzak scholarship being reviewed PMI-MN has a representative on the review team Combined PMI-MN and ASTD team looking at potential annual scholarship program in honor of Ana Alvarez-Holmberg board decision in August 3 16
17 Outreach Programs Outreach Events Provide networking and speaker opportunities to PMI members and prospective PMI members in the St. Cloud area. This could drive more interest for the Minnesota chapter and increase activity from people in the St. Cloud area Events have been held in January and April 6. Additional events are planned in September and Late Fall Student Outreach Program Pilot initiative to promote the PMI-MN Chapter and PMI to Minnesota area colleges, universities and students. The goal is to provide students and PMI MN Corporate Partners an opportunity to work together that will give the students experience with Project Management. Chapter Library Management Partner with Local college to increase Project Management related materials as resource materials PMI-MN donates Project Management related materials to Augsburg College 33 Partner Programs Corporate Partners Program Program contributes to increased PMI MN Membership, Revenue and increased attendance at PDD, PMI MN Seminars This year will contribute to revising the program and updating the Corporate Partner Kit Update Program will obtain new corporate partners Program will be responsible for the Corporate Partner PDD Luncheon 34 17
