2 Global Sharing Week around the world June was the 1st ever Global Sharing Week celebrating Sharing Economy in communities around the globe! Following the sucess of 3 previous Global Sharing Days it reached an amazing involvement from over 125 partner organisations/initiatives in 30 different countries. Thanks to new Partner Event Alpha, we have a dedicated events registration platform! We had 126 registered events and several other celebrations on every continent around this week. Many activities gathered several partners to reach more people together! This engagement shows the growth and reach of the new sharing economy that we are building together. 4 Street Share Party - Brighton, UK The Global Sharing Day Street Party has become the event of the year in Compton Avenue, Brighton - home to Benita Matofska, Founder of The People Who Share. All generations were represented at this fest, from a baby who was a few months old to a 91 year old. From food to music, from toys to laughs - this street really know how to share! Bringing people together on the street to share lunch on Global Sharing Day has made a huge difference. One couple had lived on the street for over 40 years - they said it s the first time in over 40 years that we ve lived here that the street came together to share a meal.
