ProAlexin Natural chlorine, chlorate and QAC free designed to aid plant and crop health and quality through improved nutrition COMPLIES WITH MRL REGULATIONS
Understanding Plants PHYTOALEXINS Plants are capable of defending themselves against viral, fungal and bacteria attack through production of phytoalexins. Phytoalexins are antimicrobial and often antioxidative substances synthesized de novo by plants that accumulate rapidly at areas of pathogen infection. They are broad spectrum inhibitors and are chemically diverse with different types characteristic of particular plant species. When a plant cell recognizes particles from damaged cells or particles from the pathogen, the plant launches a two-pronged resistance: a general short-term response and a delayed long-term specific response. Sometimes, the natural mechanism of the plant is not able to control this attack because the pathogens are able to swamp the phytoalexins under abnormal growing conditions. Reduced production of phytoalexins is due to several factors (genetic changes in the plant) caused by: 1. Plant stress 2. Excessive use of synthetic agrochemicals (pesticides, herbicides, fungicides etc.) 3. Temperature, humidity and climate. The ProAlexin range of contain bioflavonoids (synergised with organic acids), which act as elicitors to activate and enhance the plants production of phytoalexins to counter the risk of damage from pathogenic attack. Increased level of phytoalexins production means reduced stress, thus promoting plant vigour. BRIX LEVEL The brix level is the level of sugar in the plant and is an indication of the health of the plant. The ProAlexin range not only assists the plant in resisting pest and disease attack by stimulating the production of phytoalexins, it also increases the brix level of the plant at the same time. Within 5 days of treating the plant with ProAlexin the brix level of the plant increases. The higher the brix level, the healthier the plant, and the better the plant can fight off attack of any kind.
ProAlexin - Plant Nutrient Synergist ProAlexin PNS is designed to aid plant and crop health and quality through improved nutrition. It activates and enhances synergistically the plants production of phytoalexins, thus countering the risk of damage from plant attacking pathogens. APPLICATION - FIELD Fruits, vines, cereals, pulses, vegetables, flowers, hydroponics and lawns BENEFITS Improved plant health and vigour Increases crop quality and yields Manufactured natural and renewable resources Increases brix levels Improved nutrient uptake Does not alter the taste of produce, has no irritant odour Zero impact on MRL levels, no withholding period Reduces the dependency of traditional agrochemicals Far less impact on the environment: organic compliant, completely biodegradable No corrosion to expensive plant and equipment Provides safer working conditions for workers Safe to handle, easy to store Cost effective concentrated formula DIRECTIONS FOR USE Recommended dilution: ml/100ltr of water. Spray onto foliage. For best results, several applications per growing season are required, depending on typo of crop. Add ph buffer to water if necessary (up to ph 3-5). Shake well before use. ProAlexin PNS Plant Nutrient Synergist INGREDIENTS: Water (de-mineralised) , Lactic Acid , Palm Kernel Oil Glycerine , Citrus Aurantium Amara Extract Tel. +44 (0) info@.co.uk PLEASE SEE LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR FOR DETAILED PROTOCOL.
ProAlexin - PhytoElicitor ProAlexin PEL is designed to aid plant & crop resistance to disease pressure. It assists in the activation of the plant s natural protection and defence mechanisms (phtyoalexins) at critical phonological stages of the plant s growth cycle. Can be applied as a soil treatment to stimulate growth. Can also be used in combination with ProAlexin PNS at half dose. APPLICATION - FIELD Fruits, vines, cereals, pulses, vegetables, flowers, hydroponics and lawns BENEFITS Elicits phytoalexins intensively Can boost plant protection against disease pressure Improves plant health and vigour Improves the uptake of foliar applied nutrients Increases crop yields and profit Does not alter the taste of produce, has no irritant odour Zero impact on MRL levels, no withholding period Reduces the dependency of traditional agrochemicals Far less impact on the environment: organic compliant, completely biodegradable No corrosion to expensive plant and equipment Provides safer working conditions for workers Safe to handle, easy to store Cost effective concentrated formula DIRECTIONS FOR USE Recommended dilution: ml/100ltr of water. Spray onto foliage. For best results, several applications per growing season are required, depending on typo of crop. Add ph buffer to water if necessary (up to ph 3-5). Shake well before use. ProAlexin Phyto Elicitor PEL INGREDIENTS: Water (demineralised) , Lactic Acid , Palm Kernel Oil Glycerine , Citrus Aurantium Amara Extract Tel. +44 (0) info@.co.uk PLEASE SEE LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR FOR DETAILED PROTOCOL.
Success with ProAlexin The effect of ProAlexin on the yield of plums Western Cape, South Africa, 2008 (Derick van Zyl, Estate & Farming Operations Manager) Due to stress conditions, including high winds, temperature fluctuations and abnormal wet conditions, plums were heavily invested with Xanthomonas and Pseudomonas bacteria. Three applications of ProAlexin were made during the growing season and post-harvest, followed with one dormancy spray. RESULTS The amount of visible spring cankers was markedly reduced. General increases of fruit size were also observed. In the season 2008, all fruit were sizing A and better, with a peak in AA and AAA. THE GROWER The biggest advantage for me using these is the fact that there is no withholding period. We are able to keep the tree and fruit healthy until harvest and even during harvest. We have increased the amount of class I fruit with less or no lesions, and managed to get much less or no post harvest decay infections. Derick van Zyl, Applethwaite Farm South Africa THE AGRONOMIST Being in a position to observe the benefit to crop health provided by ProAlexin is special. I am grateful and privileged to have the chance to develop ProAlexin on plant pathogens, knowing the enormous gap we fulfill in agriculture to supply residue-free plant to the consumer. Tommie Botha, Independent Agronomist South Africa THE SCIENTIST I have seen ProAlexin cure plants in the lab of the powdery mildew fungus Erysiphe cichoracearum. We are very excited about this natural product whose action has shown to be just as good as, in some cases superior to, many of the synthetic on the market Amy Bilton, Newcastle University United Kingdom
