5 What is Kinesiology? Kinesiology is a natural non-invasive modality used to bring balance, health and wellbeing back to body systems. Many people have benefited from this remarkable and effective natural therapy. Kinesiology combines a collection of Eastern medicine practices like massage, physical palpation, energy movement,manipulation, acupressure points, meridian energy, Tibetan energy, musculoskeletal work, vibrational energy, subtle anatomy and much more. The unique element of kinesiology is the added skill of muscle testing. What is muscle testing? Muscle testing is a technique where feedback from a muscle is used to identify stress and areas of imbalance in the body. The benefit of using muscle testing is the ease and accuracy in identifying what is causing dis-ease in the body and the correction techniques that will allow the body to come back into a state of balance and harmony. What can I do when I receive my HLT52415 Diploma of Kinesiology With your Diploma of Kinesiology you are able to set up your own practice as a professional Kinesiologist and/or join an existing Natural Therapies practice. How long does it take to finish the Diploma of Kinesiology? Students have successfully completed the Diploma of Kinesiology in two and a half years to four years depending on the mode of study employed (part-time or full-time) It is a good idea to have a look at the timetable on the ollege website which tells you when classes are running. This will allow you to plan ahead and pace your studies. 5

6 Your Instructors Rose Whelan is a dynamic teacher, public speaker, presenter and a leading Kinesiologist with many years experience as a kinesiology practitioner. She has been an educator since 2000 and a successful Kinesiologist working extensively in the Natural Health industry since Rose is the founder and principal of the ollege of Natural Healing, and is renowned for her innovative and authentic approach in understanding the psychology of behaviour, the power of kinesiology and achieving a balanced state and good health naturally. raig Whelan is a senior lecturer and presenter of kinesiology with the ollege of Natural Healing. He is on the board of directors of The Kinesiologist Pty Ltd and is a major contributor in the kinesiology industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours), and a graduate diploma in management and has worked for the SRIO in the division of Human Nutrition. With 10 years previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry he has a broad understanding of health issues and the important role of natural therapies. He is a successful kinesiology practitioner in Bathurst New South Wales. 6

7 ollege Facilities Yetholme Training Facility The ollege head Office and main training facility is situated just above historical Yetholme village. The ollege is set in park lands surrounded by native Australian bush, which allows students to experience a tranquil, peaceful learning environment, where the demands of everyday living gently fade away. During breaks students can choose to take in the natural surrounds or walk quite country lanes. In the winter students get to experience the wonders of snow. The training facilities are spacious with access to the latest technology and teaching resources. ardew lose training facility Is situated closer to the BD and caters for smaller groups, it is where student clinic is held and is a place for students to come together practice their skills and learn from each other outside class times. 7

Pre-requisite requirements Attendance of a 4 hour Academic Referencing tutorial to ensure you understand your responsibilities when writing and submitting assignments. The Tutorial fee is $95 which is not included in the tuition fees. (Not included in tuition fees) Language, literacy and numeracy requirements Assessment Methods The person to undertake this program requires well developed language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills relevant to the context of their role. The applicant s LLN skills will be evaluated during the enrolment process to ensure persons enrolling in the program have the skills to complete all training and assessment. Applicants who are identified as having LLN deficits, may be referred to a third party training provider for specialist assistance prior to returning for enrolment in the program. ollege of Natural Healing is well equipped to provide students with additional learning support during a program if required. The program has scheduled learning support sessions for this purpose., presentations, workbooks based on practical experience, supervised student clinical practice, observation tasks, attendance of face-to-face tutorials, case studies, demonstration and role plays, projects. Target Occupation This qualification covers the skills needed to be an independent kinesiology practitioner who works with balancing energy through acupuncture meridians and with simple bodywork such as stimulating reflexes and muscle movements. It provides skills in kinesiology health assessment and balancing. This qualification offers the level of skill required for independent practice. However, practitioners may also be employed either by another practitioner or within a larger health service, clinic, aged care facility, or hospital. 9

15 Fees: HLT52415 Diploma of Kinesiology Tuition Fees (face to face and distance combined) $19,130 Enrolment Fee (non-refundable) $250 Total Investment $19,380 Face to face training is conducted as two day intensives (please see the annual timetable available on the ollege website for details on class dates and times) A current First Aid ertificate (HLT003 Apply First Aid) is required prior to participation in Student linic. This unit is not offered by NH and must be completed with an external provider. A WW Working With hildren heck is required before commencing any clinic on-campus or external. Fees are correct at time of publishing and may be subject to change without notice. Required texts and individual learning equipment not included in course fees unless otherwise stated. Additional Service fees are not included please refer to the Additional Services section for further information How do I pay for the course? Fees for the HLT52415 are payed in term blocks. The ollege will issue students with an invoice prior to the commencement of each term, these fees must be paid two weeks prior to the commencement of each term with the exception of Provide First Aid, students will be required to gain their Provide First Aid certificate from an external RTO provider. 15

Referencing workshop is not included in the course fees. First aid certificate is not included in the course fees this fee is set and paid to an external provider that offers this course. Working with children check is not included in the course fees. Professional Association membership The list below is an indication of things that are not included in the course fees, please remember this list is not exhaustive and students slowly acquire these items during the course of their studies. You will be advised well in advance of equipment needed before each class. Students are asked not to purchase any of the following items until instructed to do so.
