2 August May 2009 Practicum Trainee, Vanderbilt Intensive Sex Offender Program (VISOP), Vanderbilt Outpatient MHC Clinical Forensic Services, Psychiatric Hospital at Vanderbilt, Nashville, TN Worked as individual, family and group therapist with adolescents (ages 12-19) who had been charged with a sexual offense. Had primary responsibility over two patients, which involved conducting weekly individual therapy and family therapy every other week, as well as organizing court crisis meetings and s-team meetings. Engaged in bi-weekly group therapy (at Vanderbilt) with 5 different co-leaders and 16 adolescents. Participated in monthly staffing meetings with court representatives, probation officers and DCS workers. Participated in a family therapy seminar with in-vivo supervision. Engaged in clinical interviews, test administration, scoring and interpretation, and report writing. Supervisor: Dr. James S. Walker Clinical Interviewer, RECAP project, Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies, Nashville, TN Conducted structured interviews with children (2 nd or 3 rd grade) and their parents as part of evaluating the effectiveness of RECAP (Reaching Educators, Children And Parents), a multi-level CBT-based intervention program consisting of individual child therapy, group child therapy, parent training and teacher training. This intervention is specifically aimed at children with both externalizing and internalizing symptoms. Supervisors: Dr. Bahr Weiss, Dr. Susan Han Group Therapy Assistant, Making Connections, Women s Center, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN Assisted Dr. Fishel with her group therapy sessions for women with body image problems. These sessions took place once a week for one hour and included experiential, body-centered, and mindfulness components. Prepared for the sessions, ran part of the sessions or entire session, discussed clinical impressions/observations/concerns about group members with Dr. Fishel. Supervisor: Dr. P. Tobi Fishel

3 September May 2003 Clinical Psychology Intern, Outpatient Community Mental Health Center, Dendermonde, Belgium Worked in the Child, Adolescent and Family Unit of an outpatient mental health center for 34 weeks, working 30 hours a week. This internship consisted of: 85% therapeutic work (intake interviews, individual and family therapy sessions, group therapy sessions), 10% assessments (testing, report writing and communicating findings to parents), and 5% education (supervision, attending workshops). Clients ranged from 6 to 17 years of age and presented with a range of internalizing and externalizing problems. I applied individual and group cognitive-behavioral therapy, systemic therapy and play therapy, under supervision of therapists on site who were specialized in these respective treatment models.
