A portion of the funds is being allocated to assist medical residents and undergraduate medical students to develop and implement projects related to social accountability and community engagement. In 4

5 addition, collaboration is essential in both of these areas. Funding applications will be accepted from all medical residents/students at all of the geographic sites of the FoM. Up to $1000 will be granted to support projects that engage in the study, service, and scholarship of the health priorities of underserved and otherwise marginalized populations in British Columbia. This conference will allow physicians, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, and students the opportunity to learn more about caring for poisoned patients. The conference will feature a series of lectures from experts in clinical toxicology, pharmacology, laboratory medicine, and law enforcement. The day will also include a pediatric toxicology patient simulation session hosted by the Alberta Children s Hospital KidSim program, one of PADIS partners. In addition, PADIS is hosting an Open House from 1-5pm on Friday, November 4th. Come meet the staff, join them for their Question of the Week educational rounds from 2-3pm, and enjoy refreshments. The program will also be available online at the University of Calgary Continuing Medical Education website, Click the Courses and Programs tab on the left hand side to go to the list of conferences, and then scroll down until you find the PADIS conference.
