IMAGINE IOT PROTOTYPE CHALLENGE SUBMISSION FROM GLENN SOGN CIBER NORWAY Template Description This is a template that can be used for the Prototype Challenge included as part of the opensap course Imagine IoT.
The background story for my prototype is as follows. The need for helping dement people live as normal as possible will reduce health cost and make the quality of life better for those with dementia diseases. Dementia people often just need a hint or reminder to complete normal day to day tasks, and they need interaction with pets as many of us do. My prototype only covers the pet part with an electronic sensor cat named Dolly. Dolly is a pet, but she is also very clever and very intelligent and she is live connected to wifi and all interaction with her can be monitored and programmed. I want Dolly to be part of the lives of dementia people. Dolly has many sensors who collects all interaction with her, such as hand touch, where, soft or hard, time, location etc. Dolly is also runnable, and will track down the owner when not touched for a while or period. Yes, Dolly is almost like a alive cat, but she does not sleep 16 hours a day, she works 24/7! The sensor data from Dolly will give a health profile of the patient and valuable health data for the doctors. 2
Persona Catty Health worker I mean a weak health should not hold you back for a good live. About 35 married two kids Being the person who thinks all people regardless of health issues should get the best out of each day Monitor each patient individually and feed all the results to the main office for further research include data from Dolly. Works in a dement hospital facility in Oregon US Works on a pilot project to improve patient privacy and satisfaction. Responsibilities Patient health monitoring Patient privacy Patient satisfaction Patient monitoring improvements Needs Give dementia patient normal and positive stimuli Monitor dementia patient in a human and pleasuring way Compare use of different dementia drugs with more data to get the best patient results in a shorter time Build a learning database of all the dementia patients using Dolly from all over the world Main Goals Being the person giving each patient what they need Always look for monitoring improvements to reduce change of drug periods Use new technology with patient focus Reduce dementia patients stress and anxiety Pain Points Each patient is different, each behavior of Dolly must fit the patient The change of dementia drugs will often need weeks of monitoring to conclude on the result Patient privacy, should the patient be able to let Dolly sleep How to make Dolly purr and eat as a normal living cat 3
Point of View (PoV) User + need + insight/why 4
Patient User Experience Journey From the dementia patient using and interacting with Dolly ACTIONS Wake up Time before breakfast Relax time 1 Time before dinner Relax time 2 Go to sleep Confused Stressed Relaxed Hungry Tired Confused MINDSET FEELING TOUCH POINTS When and how was Dolly giving the first patient interaction Dolly will help the patient to remember who they are Dolly will purr and give feedback that she is happy with the fellowship Dolly will be more active, and give the impression she is hungry Dolly will purr and give feedback that she is happy When and how was Dolly giving the last patient interaction
