Customer Service (800) Quick Start Guide to Success
A message from ZYPPAH s Founder and CEO I m Dr. Jonathan Greenburg, the inventor of the ZYPPAH Hybrid Oral Appliance for snoring. My passion in life is to help my patients get the best sleep possible. I m a bioengineer and have been a licensed dentist for over 30 years. I take pride in the craftsmanship and all the effort that has gone into creating your ZYPPAH. If for any reason you are not getting better sleep, please contact our customer service team. We are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact us toll free at (800) or us at WeCare@ZYPPAH.com. The difference with a ZYPPAH is that you are getting the only snoring appliance that directly addresses the tongue with our patent-pending, ZYPPAH tongue stabilizing band. The tongue relaxing at night is what blocks your airway creating the snoring sound. Only ZYPPAH solves this problem. Whether you know it or not, other oral appliances for snoring only bring the jaw forward, which is an indirect method of treating the problem. The tongue band is my revolutionary invention that sets ZYPPAH apart from everything in the industry. I m excited that you made the right decision to end your snoring! Sincerely, Jonathan Greenburg, DDS, FAGD
To Ensure Success - Read Carefully To ensure success and to get the maximum benefit from your ZYPPAH, understand these guidelines: 1. BE PATIENT. It takes everyone time to get used to sleeping with an oral appliance. It could take anywhere from 6 days to 6 weeks. Keep this in mind especially if you are not accustomed to sleeping with a mouthpiece every night. 2. TAKE YOUR TIME. We recommend wearing it at least 30 minutes before bedtime for best results. In most cases, when you first try on your new ZYPPAH your brain will not understand what s going on. It will think you just put a large piece of food in your mouth and you ll start to salivate. This is normal. After a few days this will subside. Try wearing it just a few minutes at a time in the beginning, but do this frequently. As it feels more comfortable, you will be able to wear it all night. To help the adjustment period, get distracted by watching TV or reading a book during the hour before bed when wearing your ZYPPAH 3. RELAX. The optimal position is to keep your mouth closed. However, it s okay to keep your mouth open. Over the first few nights of use, practice keeping your mouth closed for best results. If you have trouble keeping your mouth closed, you can order a chin strap accessory.
Step 1 Get Everything Ready 1) Your ZYPPAH Appliance 2) 2 Quarts of Water 3) Kitchen Utensil Tongs (preferably), spoon or fork 4) Timer 5) Small Mirror 6) Towel or Paper Towels 7) Microwave-Safe Container
Step 2 Boil Water Heat 2 quarts of water until boiling and then transfer to a microwave-safe, plastic container deep enough to submerge the entire oral appliance. CAUTION: Handle with Care
Step 3 Immerse in Hot Water Use the kitchen utensil to gently immerse the ZYPPAH in water. Let the appliance soak in the hot water for 30 to 45 seconds. The appliance will try to float. Use the utensil to keep it under water and from touching the sides or the bottom where it may try to stick to the microwave safe bowl.
Step 4 Remove from Water Carefully pick up your ZYPPAH by the tongue strap and remove it from the hot water. While holding the tongue strap using the kitchen utensil, wait 5 to 10 seconds until it is warm to the touch. CAUTION: Handle with Care
Step 5 Custom Fit Appliance Start with your lower teeth and press the appliance down onto your lower teeth with your fingers. Move your lower jaw forward to align the top of the appliance with your upper teeth and bite down and hold for one minute. Make sure to get a very good impression of your teeth when you bite down.
Step 6 Rinse and Set Remove ZYPPAH from your mouth and rinse under cool water for 30 seconds. This will properly set the appliance to your bite. Congratulations! You ve completed the process. If for any reason it doesn t feel right you can remold it. If you have problems you can call 24/7 customer service for help.
Remolding If your ZYPPAH custom-fit snoring device does not feel comfortable, the molding process can be repeated up to three (3) additional times. Your ZYPPAH is designed so you can remold it until it s comfortable. Simply repeat steps 2 through 6 to properly reset the appliance to your bite. This can be done more than once. Contact Us if you have trouble with molding your appliance, or if for some reason it doesn t work. We are here to help you.
cleaning When not in use, store your ZYPPAH in its protective case, in a cool, dry place. To extend the life of your ZYPPAH and have a fresh and clean appliance every night, we recommend using SNAP! Clean. The only Anti-Fungal, Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Viral cleaning foam approved for ZYPPAH oral appliances. The cleaning foam will sanitize your ZYPPAH in 60 seconds. Then dry it with clean cloth. You may also clean your ZYPPAH with a toothbrush and toothpaste, or soak in water with effervescent oral device cleaning tablets. Do not use harsh chemicals or household cleaning products like bleach or ammonia.
Important Facts Before Using Your ZYPPAH Anti-Snoring Appliance: Please be patient because after you get used to wearing your ZYPPAH, you ll never go to sleep without it. If this is the first time you ve used an oral appliance, or if you are trying ZYPPAH after using other devices that have failed, we want you to understand that it takes time to get used to sleeping with something in your mouth all night long. Take Your Time: The more you wear your ZYPPAH appliance while awake, the faster you will become accustomed to it when sleeping. But take your time and get used to it gradually. Wear it for one hour before sleeping the first night. The experience will improve over time as you become accustomed to wearing it. Difficulty Falling Asleep: It may be difficult at first to fall asleep or you may wake up in the middle of the night, due to being acutely aware of the appliance. Just remove it and go back to sleep. Each night, you should be able to sleep longer and longer with the appliance. After a few weeks you will be used to it. Excessive Drooling: You may experience excess salivation. This is because your brain thinks you just put some food in your mouth, a lot of food. Try this, put your ZYPPAH in your mouth one hour before bed and get distracted. Watch TV or read a book. Your brain will realize that this is not food and the salivation will eventually stop.
STOP using your ZYPPAH and contact us immediately if you experience any of these issues: CAUTION: If your jaw does not return to its normal position, if you experience any movement of your teeth, have frequent headaches, or have any pain around your head and neck, discontinue use immediately. If these symptoms exist, contact us immediately. CAUTION: It is not normal to experience severe, sharp pain, or sudden limited mobility to your jaw. These symptoms may be an indication of a serious problem with your jaw joint, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Additional symptoms of a TMJ condition include clicking or popping sounds when moving your jaw. If you experience these symptoms or believe that you may have a TMJ condition, discontinue use and contact us immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions Since the ZYPPAH only comes in one size, will it fit me? ZYPPAH was designed to fit 90% of snorers. Our mouths are remarkably similar in size and shape, despite the bite patterns being different for everyone. ZYPPAH uses soft, moldable material that you shape for your own mouth. How often should I replace my ZYPPAH? We recommend replacing your appliance every four to six months based on use. Over the course of time, the Snoring Eliminator band will become loosened by the constant pressure of your tongue. Loyal customers can SAVE $20 when reordering. Just contact customer service for a loyalty coupon. This offer is only for existing customers who reorder a ZYPPAH within six months of their original purchase date. Can I use the ZYPPAH with Missing Teeth? Bridges? Implants? Dentures? Using a ZYPPAH with one or two missing teeth is okay, and bridges should not be a problem. With implants, it is recommended that you wait twelve months before trying the ZYPPAH. It is not recommended that you use the ZYPPAH with full dentures. I can t keep my mouth closed when I sleep. Will this affect my ZYPPAH? To be most effective, the ZYPPAH must remain in position to restrain your tongue. Your opened mouth might pull the ZYPPAH out of place. However, we have customers who have successfully used a simple and inexpensive chin strap to help keep their mouth closed.
TM What happens if ZYPPAH does not stop my snoring? Your ZYPPAH is designed to reduce snoring. However, if you notice after using it and the snoring remains, it may be an indication that you have a more serious problem than just snoring, called SLEEP APNEA. SLEEP CERTIFIED Obstructive Sleep Apnea Solutions: If you have Sleep Apnea, we are here to help you. Through our network of Sleep Certified professionals, we can assist you with scheduling a consultation and Home Sleep Test if needed to determine if you have Sleep Apnea. Sleep Apnea is serious and should not be ignored. Medical studies show that if left untreated, Sleep Apnea can lead to heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke, memory loss, diabetes, weight gain and much more. Learn more at
