The following bullets represent notable changes in the EMS System statistics for Calendar Year 2008 compared to Calendar Year EMS System call volume increased by 262 responses. 911 EMS ambulance transports from the field to hospitals increased by 2, EMS aircraft responses decreased by EMS aircraft transports decreased by 26. Two newly designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers were authorized. One additional private ambulance service began service in the County.
