Our Missions: To provide a continuum of behavioral health, substance abuse and domestic violence services to individuals and families across Washington to improve the quality of their lives and empower clients to participate in their communities at their highest level of functioning.

4 History in Pierce County Since 2005, Consejo has been providing outpatient substance abuse services for the youth population in Pierce County. We were able to add adult Substance Use Disorder Outpatient in the 2 nd half of We began providing services with one counselor and we currently have employed six counselors and one Chemical Dependency Professional Supervisor. Our staff are culturally competent and have experience working with the Latino population as well as other underserved communities.

5 History and Services Services are provided at our Pierce County Office located in Tacoma and in several schools throughout the county. Consejo has also been licensed to provide Mental Health Services thru DBHR in 2016 to provide the following: Brief Intervention Treatment, Case Management, Crisis Outreach, Day Support, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Individual Treatment, LRA Support & Psychiatric Medication

6 Services Offered in Pierce County City of Tacoma & BHO funded: Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment for Youth Bilingual and Bicultural Services Comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Assessment Individualized treatment plans in accordance with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Treatment Plan Reviews at 30,60 and 90 days of treatment Group Counseling Services Individual and Family Counseling Services Case Management Services and home and school visits as needed

7 Services Offered in Pierce County- continued Transportation to and from the offices located in Pierce County as needed Afterschool snacks Urine Analysis Referral to mental health therapy, high risk youth programs and other services beneficial to clients Active participation with the City of Tacoma Gang Project in identifying gang involved youth and screening them into the program for intensive wrap around services. Communication with schools, juvenile court, probation officers, etc. Community outreach and education Services at no cost for youth who cannot afford services and who meet the Federal Poverty Guidelines Collaboration with DCFS to provide youth in foster care with substance use disorder services and referral.

10 SUD Adult Outpatient Services Referral to mental health therapy, primary care and any other services the patient may be in need of to assist in their recovery. Assessments available to adult patients at Pierce County Jail, Northwest Detention Center and Recovery Innovations at Western State Hospital. Communication with courts, probation officers, etc. per WAC requirements. Community outreach and education as needed, resource fairs and medical staff education provided in the community.

11 City of Tacoma Youth Co-occurring Program at Lincoln High School Comprehensive screening at Lincoln High School A comprehensive Bio-Psychosocial assessment that includes: Includes diagnostic assessment for both mental health life domains and ASAM PPC II dimensions as well as, An integrated treatment plan conducted by a dually MHP/CDP credential professional Treatment plan reviews includes strength based measurable goals that are reviewed every 30/60/90 and 180 days. The plan is a living document that evolves and is updated as needed. Wraparound integrated care interventions and services for high risk youth. The individualized goals are developed in conjunction with the client In the treatment plan family member, systems involved and other support systems are identified by the client

16 Overview of Services we are working hard to bring to Pierce Co. Mental Health Services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults Domestic Violence Advocacy for survivors of DV Case Management, Intervention and Prevention Services for high risk youth involved in gang activities and truancy. Sexual Assault Services Peer support and recovery coach programs These services above are in high demand within our patients currently being served and those we have to turn away and refer somewhere else, due to the lack of funding. We are currently aggressively applying for funding throughout the county in hopes to brings these services to Consejo Pierce County Program.
