To improve our cancer screening rates and help us reach our improvement goals in our clinical indicators of patient well-being Goals Research Recruitment Improve our patients understanding of and willingness to participate in the rich and varied research taking place at CSHC and in Boston. To improve rates of participation in our in-house programs and research by better explaining what s involved and what we are hoping to learn.
11 Codman Square Health Center Improving Access to Health Communications and Research Through Digital Media Objectives Health Literacy Through our digital signage system we would deliver specific content about health topics and messages to patients sitting in our waiting rooms. Health topics would include: basic cancer screenings, exercise programs, preparing for medical appointments, etc. Research Recruitment CSHC is often asked to help recruit patients for research studies. The Digital Signage system would help educate patients about these studies, help with recruitment and increase participation.
12 Codman Square Health Center Improving Access to Health Communications and Research Through Digital Media Status The Digital Signage system is up and running on three television sets located in our waiting rooms. Each month we change the health topic to measure any changes in patients health indicators. We have developed supporting collateral material to reinforce digital signage messaging. Status We have not begun to recruit for research projects. We are waiting to recruit for a Yoga for Chronic Back Pain study. Recruitment will only be done via digital signage messaging at CSHC. We continue to add new messaging every day and the feedback we have received from both staff and patients has been positive.
