Welcome! Thank you for choosing to participate! Eat a Rainbow is a week-long campaign that promotes the importance of eating a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables. As part of Eat a Rainbow Week this year, we are inviting you to host a Fruit and Vegetable Challenge. Everything you need to host a challenge is included within this Challenge Packet. The Fruit and Vegetable Challenge is a fun way to encourage participants to eat more fruits and vegetables every day. During the 7-day event, participants challenge each other to eat more fruits and vegetables. This challenge also can be done in teams. By incorporating more fruits and vegetables into their meals and snacks each day, participants learn to make them a part of their daily lives. All forms of fruits and vegetables count fresh, frozen, canned, dried, and 100% juice. To learn more about the countywide campaign, visit www.chathamnc.org/eatarainbow.

However, to get all the benefits from eating fruit and vegetables, one needs to eat all the colors, meaning we all need to EAT A RAINBOW! In addition to the Fruit and Vegetable Challenge at this site, locations all across Chatham County will be celebrating the rainbow challenge from September 20 th to September 26 th.
