REGISTRATION: The 4-H workshop registration system has changed for the 2013-14 workshop season! We are now utilizing the event registration tool that is part of the Michigan State University Extension events management system. Registrations can now be made by individuals, families, and county staff. The new system also allows for credit card payments! Go to http://events.anr.msu.edu/4hequestrian2013/ to register for this event. When county staff login to register other individuals, they will select the type of participant from the roster and register the person in the system. Registration must be entered into the MSU Extension Event Registration System no later than midnight, October 23, 2013. This deadline will be strictly enforced, which means registrations received after this date will not be accepted. Once registrations have been entered, workshop attendees who have not paid online with a credit card are still expected to send their payment to their county MSU Extension office or ANR Events Management at 446 W. Circle Dr. East Lansing, MI 48824, with a copy of their registration receipt. All fees must be prepaid at your local county MSU Extension office. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This is a workshop strictly for therapeutic riding instructor and therapists working with therapeutic riding programs. All 4-H instructors certified before January 1, 2013 are REQUIRED to attend either the October 2012 or November 2013 workshop in order to be approved to teach a 4-H PEP program in Michigan: January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. OBJECTIVES: To provide continuing education for 4-H PEP Certified Instructors and others involved in therapeutic riding activities. MEDIA RELEASE/MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION: When registering for a workshop, all participants are encouraged to complete the Medical Treatment Authorization section of the form. This form is then given to the MSU Extension office, which is then sent to the workshop coordinator. Copies of the form can also be brought to the workshop. All workshop participants are encouraged to complete the Media Release section of the form. This section authorizes MSU Extension to record and photograph workshop participants and to use these photos and/or voice in educational and promotional publications and programs.
