Our Programme Warm Up and Cool Down Our three-day Skills Development Camps remain the most popular of our holiday sports courses. All are run by our resident sports professionals and qualified coaching staff, often supported by elite coaches and players. Participants receive expert athletic development guidance, are offered nutrition advice and take part in discussions on topics such as confidence, pressure and the growth mindset with visiting sports psychologists. The Junior Multi-Sports Camp is aimed at younger children and offers an interesting, fun and diverse experience, developing core skills across a range of team and individual sports. Our Taster Days encourage children to try a variety of new sports and are usually designed and delivered in conjunction with the relevant national governing body. For the most focused and committed athletes we create a bespoke Performance Camp, offering an insight into the high performance lifestyle of an elite athlete. This focuses the mind and body, concentrating on leadership and character development as well as improving vital key skills and attributes. We are able to offer Warm Up and Cool Down clubs before and after each sports camp during the Easter holidays and the May half term. These are optional sessions, will incur an additional cost of 5 per session and will run at 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm. They will be delivered by our resident Strength and Conditioning Coach. Our Coaches We pride ourselves on finding great people, all of whom are fully qualified coaches and have played at national or regional level. All our staff and coaches hold the following: A current enhanced DBS check and Child Protection and Safeguarding Children training. A current First Aid qualification. At least one level 1 coaching/teaching qualification. All lead staff hold a level 2 coaching/teaching qualification. Internal Continual Professional Development (CPD). This involves regular staff training, observations, qualification checks and reviews and client feedback. Experience of working in a school. 4 5

Junior Multi-Sports Camp Inspired by the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, our Junior Multi-Sports Camp offers an introduction and early development of a variety of sports including football, mini-tennis, badminton, futsal, kwik cricket, hockey, tag rugby and basketball. We start with the basics and build to more advanced levels, according to ability and interest. We focus on fun as much as learning while also helping to develop budding sports stars. Previous camps have concluded with a day made up of sports chosen by the children, and a Mini- Olympics including time in the swimming pool and on the athletics track. This day has proved particularly popular. Age 8-11 years 29-31 May Age 8-11 years 6 7

Athletics Skills Development Camp Cricket Skills Development Camp The Athletics Skills Development Camp offers the opportunity to participate in a broad range of track and field events at an excellent performance hub. Children will benefit from our state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities, including extensive throws and jumps areas. Regardless of athletic ability or experience, all participants will have the opportunity to develop skills across a variety of athletic disciplines, develop core strength and fitness, and enhance the specific techniques and skills required for their chosen events. Our experienced and professional coaches can help athletes progress in their preferred events, or can introduce new events and techniques to participants who would like to train or compete in more than one discipline. Age 8-11 years Supported by Sevenoaks School s cricket partner, Invicta Cricket Coaching, and other county and regional level coaches, our camp will focus on the three key disciplines of batting, bowling and fielding/keeping. We believe in creating players as capable in all facets rather than narrowing their focus at a young age. Whether the children are new to cricket or are representative players, they will have fun, improve and be challenged on our Cricket Skills Development Camp, and will benefit from our excellent outdoor and indoor cricket facilities. 29-31 May Age 11-14 years 8 9

Hockey Skills Development Camp Netball Skills Development Camp By popular demand we are introducing a Hockey Skills Development Camp for May half term and have created a fun learning environment for players who want an amazing and memorable hockey camp experience. Like the rest of our programme, the camp will include indoor and outdoor training sessions, use of the pool, strength and conditioning profiling, speed workshops and video analysis as well as masterclasses from guest coaches where feasible. 29-31 May Age 11-14 years Netball is a particular strength of Sevenoaks Sports Camps and our camps are extremely popular. As ever, our experienced coaches will ensure all girls enjoy and gain a great deal from the three days. Participants will benefit from using the facilities at Sevenoaks School and from our growing relationship with elite level coaches and clubs. The Netball Skills Development Camp has been designed for girls to focus on all key areas of netball, including attacking, defending, shooting and core skills, through the use of fun and effective coaching techniques. The camp will include indoor and outdoor training sessions, use of the pool, strength and conditioning profiling, speed workshops and video analysis as well as masterclasses from guest coaches where feasible. Rugby Skills Development Camp focusing on Sevens Squash Skills Development Camp We welcome boys and girls to take part in another progressive and exciting three-day Skills Development Camp, this time focusing on Sevens Rugby and using Billy Millard s Ten Principles of Playing Good Sevens as our framework. Making use of the fine facilities available at Sevenoaks School, and supported by Saracens Academy, the camp will keep everyone enthused, learning and further developing their love of the game. Our experienced coaches will tailor the camp to the level of the players, working in accordance with the RFU s Player Progression Model for both boys and girls. The camp has been designed for players to focus on all key areas of rugby, including catch and pass, the tackle, breakdown and support play. It will include indoor and outdoor sessions, use of the pool, strength and conditioning profiling, speed workshops and video analysis as well as masterclasses from guest coaches where feasible. All participants will learn a variety of techniques, develop their game and court management skills, and play against opponents of similar ability. All are welcome, whether beginners or experienced. The half-day Squash Camp caters for players who have played the game previously. For those new to the game, or those who would like more advanced instruction from one of our coaches, we can offer 1:1 or small group (1:4) sessions in the afternoons. Our team can help you chose the appropriate offering. 9am-12pm Afternoon sessions available Age 11-18 years Age 10-14 years 12 13

Basketball Taster Day Triathlon Taster Day As the home of the increasingly successful Sevenoaks Suns we are excited to announce a Basketball Taster Day as part of our May half term programme. One of the fastest growing sports across the world, basketball promotes athleticism, teamwork, communication - and is great fun for all ages. If you want to learn more about the sport and improve your basketball skills, please sign up for our Basketball Taster Day and learn from some of the best coaches in national and regional basketball as well as professional players from the Suns WBBL squad. This day will help polish shooting, dribbling, and other basketball abilities and can help those focused on other sports also. 30 May Age 8-14 years Like running, swimming or cycling? Fancy doing all three, one after the other? Triathlon is a great way to get active, providing fun and variety through the three elements. Sevenoaks Sports Camps, supported by British Triathlon and VO2 Maximum, are pleased to offer the inaugural Triathlon Taster Day. It offers a perfect opportunity for those new to the sport or thinking about taking part in an introductory level event. Participants will receive one-to-one advice and learn some valuable transition tips from the experts while trying out the swim, cycle and run elements. 6 April Age 8-14 years 14 15

The coaches are so kind and helpful. The shooting techniques that we learnt were very helpful and the ball gets in the hoop a lot more now! Netball Camp participant, October 2017 For more information, please visit www.sevenoakssportscamps.co.uk
