Mission Our mission is to display the intrinsic value of all human life as we commit to demonstrate Christ s unconditional love by meeting spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. History The Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County began its life-saving work in October of 1993. Since then, we have provided free services to thousands of men and women. In 2007, the PRC added a medical clinic, offering ultrasound at no charge to abortion-vulnerable women. In 2013, the PRC began offering free STD testing in an effort to reach a greater number of women before they end up in a crisis pregnancy. Message from the Executive Director Friends of the PRC, Thank you so much for your support for another year! 2016 was an incredible year, and God is doing great things here at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County (PRC). In 2016, we had 36 mothers, who came into the PRC stating that they intended to get an abortion, change their minds and choose life for their unborn children. We call these women abortion minded. These are the mothers we count in our babies saved statistics. There are many other women who may consider abortion an option, but are not necessarily planning on getting one. We call these women abortion vulnerable. Praise God for those 36 abortion minded mothers who decided to choose life! In October of 2015, we decided to make public our need for a new facility. By the end of the year, God provided a tract of land that was donated by Eagle s Landing First Baptist. In 2016, we signed the 99 year lease on the land. The plan is to build two new buildings, each being 2,500 square feet. The first building will be the medical building and the second building will be the resource building. We have started a fundraising campaign for Phase 1, the medical building, in order to raise approximately $400,000. We are moving forward in the process. God connected us with Scott Meriwether at Promus Engineering. Promus Engineering is going to take on the PRC as a pro-bono client regarding the engineering for the new facility. Additionally, God provided Steven Ellis, an architect, who will be designing and donating the blueprints for the new facility. How faithful is our GOD! In 2016, we had a changing of the guard. Jamie Estes was our Medical Director for 11 years, and through that time he helped the PRC become a medical clinic, adding services like the limited medical ultrasound and STI testing. As there are seasons for all things, Dr. Estes passed the baton in 2016 to Dr. Al Reynolds. Dr. Reynolds is a retired Ob/GYN doctor who practiced medicine in the Atlanta Southern Crescent area for 31 years delivering many thousands of babies and retired from private practice in 2012. Speaking of medical, in 2016, we added a new STI test- the oral HIV swab. This test allows us to swab a client s cheek and give them results during that appointment. This service is extremely important as STIs are epidemic in our local community. In 2016, we had some transition in our staff. Both Sherri Davis, our night receptionist, and Rachel Devitt, our day receptionist, decided to step away for work and family reasons. And while we were terribly sad to see them leave, Carol Corban, one of our abstinence volunteers in the ReNew program, was hired as both the day and night receptionist. God is so gracious to give the PRC amazing staff. It is true that they are so much more that staff- they are friends, and they are family. We are continuing to expand and grow in client numbers and our free services. Please continue to pray for us as we navigate through uncharted waters. Our goals for 2017 are to continue to add new medical services like STI treatment and group centering classes for pregnant women, possibly increasing our operating hours Page 2

and adding to our staff, and continuing to work on solidifying our organizational foundation. Our challenges to achieving these goals are raising the necessary financial backing and having the sufficient number of volunteers to support the new additions to our medical and resource programs. There are several ways you can help and support the PRC in 2017. 1) Volunteer- We desperately need medical volunteers. We also need volunteers to help with the resource programs. 2) Refer people to us. Tell everyone you know about what this ministry does and the vision that we feel the Lord has for it. If you have a church, community, or other group of people that would be interested in what we do, let us know! We would love to come share with them. 3) Give financially. Every penny counts. We do not take any governmental funds, and therefore, are completely financed by individuals, churches, businesses, and private grants. Thank you for making what we do possible! 4) Pray for us. This is not to be trivialized. Prayer is essential- pray for our staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and clients and their families. In closing, our scripture verse for 2017 is Psalm 127:3: Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him. Amen! In Him, Kimberly King Executive Director Page 3
