VITAVM 9 Quickstart Working Instructions For veneering zirconia substructures and for individualizing VITABLOCS and VITA PM 9 restorations. Available in VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER and VITA classical A1 D4 shades. VITA perfect match.

VITAVM 9 FACTS & FEATURES VITA VM 9 is: A natural, highly esthetic, fine-structure feldspar ceramic for zirconia substructures, VITABLOCS Mark II and PM 9 With VITA VM 9, you will benefit from: natural shade effect, light dynamics and optimal physical properties excellent modeling characteristics for fast and accurate application of the ceramic an outstanding bond minimum shrinkage behavior for accurate firing process reliability based on numerous years of experience SYSTEM COMPONENTS VITA YZ T COLORING LIQUIDS VITA YZ HT/ST/XT SHADE LIQUIDS VITA AKZENT Plus VITA INTERNO

1 VITAVM 9 Preparatory steps BASE DENTINE WASHBAKE 1 2 BASE DENTINE: to achieve optimum bonding, carry out washbake with BASE DENTINE can also be carried out with CHROMA PLUS materials for restorations with thin walls mix with VITA MODELLING FLUID RS to obtain a thin aqueous mixture use a brush to apply very thinly and ensure uniform coverage Please note: The substructure needs to be clean and dry! Recommended firing - washbake Predry. C min. min. C/min. Temp. approx. C min. VAC min. 500 2.00 8.11 55 950 1.00 8.11

2 VITAVM 9 BASIC layering BASE DENTINE layering 1 2 Layering: mix BASE DENTINE with VITA MODELLING FLUID RS apply the desired shade of BASE DENTINE, starting from the neck, to obtain the required, complete tooth shape. check the centric, lateral and protrusive occlusion in the articulator Please note: To obtain sufficient space for the enamel, removal of the corresponding amount of BASE DENTINE is required.

ENAMEL layering 1 2 3 Layering: apply several small portions of ENAMEL to complete the crown mould, beginning from the middle third of the crown to compensate for firing shrinkage, the crown must have a slightly larger size prior to the first dentine firing, the individual units of bridges must be separated in the interproximal areas down to the substructure Please note: Only a ceramic firing pad for ceramic may be used for firing! Recommended firing - first dentine firing Predry. C min. min. C/min. Temp. approx. C min. VAC min. C 500 6.00 7.27 55 910 1.00 7.27 600* * Long-term cooling down to 600 C is recommended for the respective last firing cycle of the vene

3 VITAVM 9 Finalization Glaze firing with VITA AKZENT Plus 1 2 3 Finalization: finish the bridge or crown respectively for glaze firing, the entire surface must be ground evenly remove grinding particles carefully coat the entire restoration with VITA AKZENT Plus GLAZE if needed, VITA AKZENT Plus stains may be used Please note: When processing the interdental spaces with the diamond separating disc, please be sure not to cause any damage to the substructure. In case of formation of dust, use an extraction system or wear a face mask. Additionally, protective goggles must be worn when grinding the fired ceramic. Recommended firing Glaze firing with VITA AKZENT Plus Predry. C min. min. C/min. Temp. approx. C min. VAC min. C 500 4.00 5.00 80 900 1.00-600* ering ceramic.

VITAVM 9 Layering concept 1 BASE DENTINE washbake Prepared substructure 2 BASE DENTINE layering 2 ENAMEL layering optional adjustment of the shape Result after first dentine firing 2a Layering for second dentine firing 2b Result of second firing, adjustment of the shape 3 Finalization, characterization, polishing
